Well, now we move to Pheonix, where we will see who wins here. Last week at Texas, Jeff Gordon finally got his win, and all of the 1 people who picked him will get that win, way to go. In addition, I made a new rule, when chase time comes, and since you already get awarded for winning a session, the person who picks the most winning drivers by chase time will get a +10 point bonus for all 3 sessions in the chase, the second most will get +10 for the first 2 sessions, and the third most will get +10 for the first session in the chase. Session bonuses will not be in effect for the chase. In addition, if you get a 1st or 2nd place person with a +10 handicap, a 1st through 4th with a +20 handicap, or a 1st through 6th with a +30 handicap, those will also count toward the win column, just to make sure people don't get repelled to pick them now. Don't worry, I will keep track of it all, also, if there is a tie for first, like if two have 5 winners, then they both only get a +10 for the first 2 segments, same for any other ties, if there is a tie that goes beyond 3rd, those people will not get bonusus. Really if you don't get this, don't worry about it until chase time. And without further ado, here are the race results:
1.) Fsu1dogs- 195
2-4.) Uscfann, Chicagolaw and Roushfenway- 175
5.) Sugerjags- 170
6.) Tenacfan- 165
7-8.) Bondkbond and Bradman- 160
9.) Spikesgator- 149
10-13.) Floridawhite, Edwardsfan, Tigersman and M56nascar- 139
14.) Berlyn (??? =d Jeff Burton)- 138
15.) Section- 127
16.) Tobasco Kat- 108
17.) Mikeyfan- 101
18.) Plaid- 59
First, let me say congratulations to Fsu1dogs, he has picked a winner yet agian, and I kind of made the new rule because of how good he has been doing with win picks, well... he only got 2, but it seems like more to me, lol. Second, everyone once again did good this week with all but 3 finishing in the top 12, except for Mikeyfan, who just got over 100, and Plaid, who picked a guy that does well at Texas usually, but had a lot of problems, and put Plaid in a deep hole that will make him have to get a great pick next week, or else he maybe the first non-active gone. Tobasco may also become an unactive, who knows, and he could get eliminated soon. I'll try to find him and see what's up if I see him.
Handicap list again:
Sam Hornish Jr.
Anyone not in the top 35 after the first 5 races, some on the list including David Gilliland, Paul Menard, and Dave Blaney.
And with Jeff's win, it looks like the bonus is a lost cause unless he crashes, we will just have to wait and see.
Here is the new win list, I will keep track of it from now on:
Fsu1dogs and Bondkbond: 2
M56nascar, Mikeyfan, Spikesgator, Floridawhite, Chicagolaw, Edwardsfan and Superjags=1
So we have a seven way tie for 3rd, and 2 people in the first pos. All I know is I need to start picking some winners.
Here is where you will put this week's picks, as for me, I'm going for one of the 3 w/o a finish below 22nd here, and he happens to have a +20 handicap, Mark Martin.
Spikesgator- Denny Hamlin
Mikeyfan- Kyle Busch
Bondkbond- Kyle Busch
Floridawhite- Jimmie Johnson
Uscfann- Mark Martin (+20 handicap)
Chicagolaw- Jeff Gordon
Plaid- Carl Edwards
Superjags- Jeff Gordon
Roushfenwayguy- Mark Martin (+20 handicap)
Edwardsfan- Jeff Gordon
Fsu1dogs- Mark Martin (+20 handicap)
Berlyn- Michael Waltrip (+10 handicap) (random autopick)
Tenacfan- Jimmie Johnson
Tabasco Kat- Jeff Gordon
Tigersman- Jimmie Johnson
M56nascar- Jimmie Johnson
Section- Jeff Gordon
Bradman- Denny Hamlin
Mark Martin- 3
Kyle Busch- 2
Denny Hamlin- 2
Jimmie Johnson- 4
Jeff Gordon- 5
So 50% of the people picked either Jimmie or Jeff, and that's w/o berlyn or uscfann... lol. And other than the 5 common seletions shown, and disincluding the random autopicks, Plaid is the only one who went with someone else, Carl Edwards, as he does need to go outside the box to win, but Carl should have more selections too, he is great here.
