RFG's Eliminator League Week 17

After Sonoma, Uscfannv found a person I forgot to put on the list, but he got caught up in that crash and moved from 8th to 27th... almost had a huge pick. Anyway, all you people that picked Tony Stewart will get a lot of points, likely not be eliminated, and make my life easier. Next week is New Hampshire, and that new rule I was talking about will take place today... all that road course crap will go away for now as well! Of course, Kasey Kahne was way too unpredictable to call, and nobody got him. Congratulations to him though. And now to the standings:

1-3.) Section_725, Superjags and Edwardsfan- 340 (Section picked Ambrose, but got the same score as Stewart.)

4.) Floridawhite- 303

5.) Bradman- 288

6.) Roushfenwayguy- 277

7-8.) M56Nascar + Berlyn- 275

9.) Tigersman- 271

10.) Tenacfan- 269

11.) Tobasco Kat- 268 (Would have gotten around 33 more with my autopick for him, lol.)

12.) Mikeyfan- 258 (MWR still hasn't failed him yet obivously.)

13.) Uscfannv- 223

14.) Fsu1dogs- 187

And just like that, one of the people that was locking themselves for the #1 position for the chase, got cast asunder by the tragedy of his favorite driver and his bad luck. With everyone else performing good here, Fsu1dogs, one of the best performers, possibly caught by his inconsistency, has fallen to the bottom of the pole this week. In addition, I am revealing my rule, "the save", which the save, which I have been hinting at, will save someone from leaving the game if they are in the top 3 AFTER avg. finishes for the lastest segment have been accumulated, that was the reason why I started doing them in the first place, and 2 people will be eliminated in the first round of the chase instead of 1 should the rule come around. In addition, we have the first tie for first place, and its a 3 way tie... and that means no bonus points for anyone... the devil obviously came down to California...

10 handicap: 16th through 23nd

Clint Bowyer

Brian Vickers

Dale Earnhardt Jr.

+34 handicap (picked 2x in a session will make +0 2nd time)

Anyone below 38th!

Here is the win column, unchanged

Fsu1dogs- 3

Superjags- 2

M56nascar, Mikeyfan, Floridawhite, Edwardsfan, Roushfenway, Uscfannv, Section, Bradman, Tenacfan and Berlyn=1

Here is the avg. finish column: (#)= how many pos. you moved up/down if its -:

Floridawhite- 5.6 (further increases his best avg. cushion with a 4th.) (0)
Superjags-  7 (1 win) (increased his avg. by 1 whole point!) (has most recent win) (+3)
Roushfenwayguy- 7 (1 win) (barely moved his average up.) (+0)
Uscfannv-  7.1 (5 consecutive top 5s... and it ended there...) (-2)
Berlyn- 8.2 (first with 2 wins still) (wins tie-breaker due to 2 wins.) (+1)
Bradman-  8.2 (1 win) (caught up to berlyn, now is working on the pass.)  (+1)
Fsu1dogs-  8.3 (1 win) (loses it all after Mark Martin's bad luck.) (Eliminated!) (-3)
Section-  9.1 (1 win) (Also increases avg. by 1 whole point, closes gap on bradman.) (0)
Edwardsfan- 10 (1 win) (moves avg. up over 1 point again, now he gained something) (+4)
M56Nascar-  10.3  (gained pos. he lost last week.) (+1)
Tigersman-  10.4 (loses a lot of ground on Section, but raises his avg.) (-2)
Tenacfan- 10.7 (uses Stewart to keep his avg the same.) (-2)
Mikeyfan- 11.1 (loses avg., although Carpentier did well for him.) (-1)
Tobasco Kat- 12.2 (He did move his average up, again!) (0)

(Also, Bondkbond and Fsu1dogs both got eliminated with an avg. of 8.3... beware the 8.3 average!!!)

And now, especially after last week, I am introducing the driver eliminator! No, this doesn't make it so that a driver gets a handicap reduction, your getting closer if you guess that you can't pick the driver this week, but its not that either. The driver eliminator will be a certain driver. If you choose that driver, you will receive no pentaly that week, HOWEVER, you will not be able to pick that driver for the following 2 segments! Not just the following segment, meaning that if you pick a driver this week, you can't pick them for the next 3 races, however, if you pick them next race, it will only be the next 2 races. I will only be doing this for 4 weeks, but the side effects will last for an additional 2 weeks. The driver that was chosen this week for the eliminator is... not Jimmie Johnson.. yup, you guessed it,  Tony Stewart.

Here is where this week's picks will go, I will choose Kurt Busch here, as he, and Penske, usually run pretty well here:

Section_725- Kyle Busch

Superjags- Tony Stewart (Eliminator driver)

Edwardsfan- Jeff Burton

Floridawhite- Kurt Busch

Bradman- Denny Hamlin

Roushfenwayguy- Kurt Busch

M56Nascar- Martin Truex Jr. (+10 handicap)

Berlyn- Kyle Busch

Tigersman- Jimmie Johnson

Tenacfan- Jimmie Johnson

Tobasco Kat- Jimmie Johnson

Mikeyfan- Clint Bowyer

Uscfannv- Martin Truex Jr. (+10 handicap)

RFG's Eliminator League Week 17

I finally win a segment, and I get screwed out of bonus points?

I noticed you ignored this portion of my post.Wink No big deal, I don't need no stinkin bonus points anyway. My choice this week, I will go with a driver who has completed 99.25% of all the laps, and has led 155 laps at this track, none other than Kyle Busch. Time for things to turn around.
