RFG's Eliminator League Week 1

Well, we have officially enough people to make this game able to go underway, however, assuming that all people stay active, we will only have a 4 man shootout at the end, as well as only 1 person getting eliminated in the first and second legs of the chase, if we get at least 1 more will allow 5 in the final, 2 more will make 2 eliminated in the first leg, and it would continue probably in a pattern somewhat similar to that. So just 1-2 more people will really stir up this game to make it magnificentally more entertaining at the end... and again, all assumptions are if everyone stays active.

Now, a brief recap of rules for this week, unlike last year, this year you must pick two drivers for each segment, where in this segment, anything goes, you could have the same lineup both weeks should you so choose, and any combination of two goes. In addition, this session is only for getting the inactives out of the game, unlike last year where the first 8 weeks weren't that interesting because the inactives were getting eliminated, as long as you participate/give a reason as to why you didn't participate for 1 week, you will stay in the game.

NOBODY WILL GET ELIMINATED THIS SESSION!: Again, this session is just for making sure everyone is active in the league, however, this session isn't just a complete mulligan, The top 3 finishers of this session will get 30-20-and 15 bonus points, respective to pos. and as shown in some of the weeks last year, these points maybe crucial if you pick a slip up driver for staying in the game for the next session.

(Also, just saying now that for every session after this one, only the top finisher will get bonus points for the next session, but since you pick two drivers this year, you get a +15 bonus instead of +10.)

And yes I know that some of these rules are different than from my first thread, but the season hasn't started now has it?

And I know I said brief, sorry if this isn't so brief for some, but I have one more message, random picks will still be in play for people that don't make picks, but unlike last year, there will be no handicap points given to drivers that are chosen randomly for you! So just missing one pick can put you on thin ice faster than before, since the first two weeks don't count, hopefully people will get into the rhythem by the time scores really start to count. And I will try to find and notify those who haven't made picks.

Now, like last year, there will be a handicap list, drivers that are in a certain position last year will get handicaps, counted by driver's position, and there will be a few exceptions, the list will tell you in which range gets each handicap, and these handicaps will change after week 5, so if one of these drivers turns hot, using them for a handicap could really boost you toward first place in a session. Here are the lists:

10 handicap: 16th through 23rd

David Reutimann

Jeff Burton

Macros Ambrose

Kevin Harvick

Joey Logano

Casey Mears

Jaime McMurray

Martin Truex Jr.

+20 handicap: 24th through 31st

A.J. Allmendinger

Dale Earnhardt Jr. (oh geez, I wonder how many will pick him)

Elliot Sadler

David Ragan

Sam Hornish Jr.

Reed Sorenson

Bobby LaBonte

Paul Menard

Boris Said (whenever he races Superspeedways)

+25 handicap: 32nd through 38th

David Stremme

Michael Watrip

Robby Gordon

Scott Speed

John Andretti

David Gilliland

Brad Kesolowski

+34 handicap (anyone that finished below 38th last year, or whoever didn't race last year)

You may also pst me your picks if you feel insecure, just like last year, but nobody really ended up doing that, still, if you feel insecure, feel free to pst me your pick, I will put your pick down as ???.

For this week... ah what the heck, after seeing that second duel, I can't go without picking my man Kurt Busch, Brad seemed to help him out quite a bit, I'll stay with Martin though.

The RFG autopicks are picks based on your winner and chaser in the Pick 3 threads, while random autopicks... well... are random, these picks are not finalized unless you don't give me picks before the start of the Daytona 500, so if you don't like your picks, make sure to change them... but heck, maybe letting me give you random picks will make you do better, lol.

Picks for Daytona 500:

Roushfenwayguy- Kurt Busch, Mark Martin

Floridawhite- Mark Martin, Kurt Busch (I'm pretty sure the race started before you made your picks... but you gave a logical excuse... and its Daytona.... and this session doesn't count for much more than bonus points, lol.)
