Wow we got a lot of winners! 7/10ths of all the people that play to be precise. Most people knew that Denny Hamlin was the hot man at Pocono, and he didn't disappoint. Needless to say a lot of people did great this week and those that were even pretty high in the standings that didn't pick Hamlin could find themselves near the bottom. Anyway, lets get right to the standings:

Top Lineup: Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch- 370

1.) Mikeyfan-            679 (370) (+4) (Everything is going Mikeyfan's way right now.)

2.) RAK-                   669 (350) (+2)

3.) Berlyn-                651 (301) (-1) (And that is without Hamlin btw.)

4.) Obxyankeefan-    649 (360) (+5) (Biggest mover) (So close to the perfect lineup...)

5.) Roushfenwayguy- 643 (350) (+2)

6.) Fsu1dogs-           636 (271) (-5) (His lead dies due to his favorite driver.)

7.) Tenacfan-            630 (340) (+1) (He got the 2-3 this week.)

8.) Section-              626 (350) (+2)

9.) Bored at Work-    608 (350) (+2) (Jimmie was as good as Kurt.)

500 CLUB

10.) Spikesgator-        597 (370) (+5) (Biggest mover) (Aren't you glad that I influenced you to take Kyle Busch, lol.)

Floridawhite-               597 (262) (-7) (Had Hamlin... but also had Gordon.)

12.) Coach-                577 (350) (+3)

13.) Tigersman-          571 (326) (0) (Only person that didn't move up or down in the standings.)

14.) M56Nascar-          559 (347) (+3)

15.) Hard to Beat-       554 (317) (-1)

16.) Chokin Colts-       553 (306) (-4)

17.) Edwardsfan-         534 (338) (+1) (Big rebound from last week.)

18.) Bradman-            513 (219) (-12) (Biggest faller) (Kahne in the wreck and not picked Hamlin doomed Bradman to position free fall.)

19.) ILL55INI-             433 (262) (0)

20.) Uscfannv-             344 (173) (-1) (Jeff Gordon sends Uscfann over the edge... and not the good edge.)

Well, a tragic way to end Uscfann's season, he was one of the favorites coming in as he had the best avg. segment finish before the chase started last year, and he was doing great this year, and of course he made it to the chase last year. In addition, Mikeyfan took advantage of his +20 bonus for winning a session to hold off RAK and claim yet another session. He's now won 2 sessions in a row, as well as picking a winning driver 5/6 weeks. I guess that Waltrip retiring was the best thing that ever happened to Mikeyfan fantasy wise, lol.

As of this session, now the rules change to where people can only choose a driver once for the whole session, meaning each person must pick 4 unique drivers each session. Those whom try to abuse this rule will find a 34 point penalty applied at the end of the segment.

Winning Drivers chosen:

Roushfenwayguy- 6 (+1)

Mikeyfan-            5 (+1)
ILL55INI-            5 (+1)
Section-              5 (+1)

Chokin Colts-      4
RAK-                  4 (+1)
Coach-               4 (+1)
Bored at Work-    4 (+1)
Tigersman-         4 (+1)
Fsu1dogs-           4 (+1)

Uscfannv-           3
Floridawhite-        3 (+1)
M56Nascar56-      3 (+1)
Obxyankeefan-    3 (+1)

Berlyn-                2
Spikesgator-        2 (+1)
Edwardsfan-         2 (+1)

Hard to Beat-       1

Bradman-            0
Tenacfan-            0

10 handicap: 16th through 23rd

Ryan Newman (Moved up in points, but still has a handicap)

Joey Logano

Juan Palbo Montoya (yet another chaser last year now with a handicap.)

Jaime McMurray (Daytona points don't last forever.)

Paul Menard (He's falling down the list fast.)

A.J. Allmendinger

Kasey Kahne (He is still here and flying low this year... probably can't wait for Hendrick.)

David Ragan

+20 handicap: 24th through 31st

Brian Vickers

Scott Speed

Brad Kesolowski

David Reutimann (This should lure Mikeyfan over more than once during the next 5 weeks.)

Marcos Ambrose

Sam Hornish Jr.

Elliot Sadler

Bobby LaBonte

Travis Kvapil

+25 handicap: 32nd through 38th

Regan Smith

Robby Gordon

David Gilliland

Kevin Conway

Mike Bliss

Max Papis

+34 handicap (anyone who is below 38th)

Avg. Segment Finish (# in parenthesis= # of segments won.) (Parentheses w/ * = best segment finish for use of tie-breaker.)

2.) Mikeyfan-           7.00 (2)

FIGHTING FOR SAFETY (within 1.00 avg. segment finish from 3rd.)

4.) RAK-                  8.71

5.) Obxyankeefan-   9.00 (1) (*1st, 4th, 6th, 7th)

6.) Bored at Work-    9.00 (1) (*1st, 4th, 6th, 10th)

7.) Roushfenwayguy- 9.29

12.) Fsu1dogs-           12.71

13.) Floridawhite-        13.29

14.) Hard to Beat-       13.67 [Has 1 less segment scored than everyone else.]

15.) Edwardsfan-        13.86 (*4th)

16.) M56Nascar-         13.86 (*5th (twice))

17.) Spikesgator-       14.57

18.) Tenacfan-           16.57

19.) Bradman-           17.00

Here is the safety plan: if you are in the top 3 in avg. segment finish at the beginning of a segment, you are eligible to use that safety, meaning that if Section, berlyn or Mikeyfan finish last this session, they will not be eliminated, nobody will be. Instead, if the safety is used, the very next segment an addition person will be eliminated! Thus, its not reccomended that you just blow your save since you will have double the chance of going out the next segment should you do so. If someone takes over Section, or either of the other 2 in avg. segment finish for next session AND the save is not used, then that person will gain eligibility and the person now outside the top 3 will lose their eligibility.

Right now I would like to talk about the chase as well, though not finalized, currently we have 13 people that will enter the chase, so this is how it will work: The first segment (first two races of the chase) will eliminate 2 people, the restriction for this segment will be that you can't change out both your drivers! The Second Segment (next 3 races) will eliminate 3 people, the restriction for this segmetn will be that you can't use the same lineup through any of the three weeks, and you can't keep the same driver for all 3 either! The final segment (last 5 races) will consist of 8 people for the whole cup, the restriction will be that you must choose 10 unique drivers! Should someone activate the save rule, should it come into play this year... either segment 1 or segment 2 will adopt another elimination, as I don't want 9 in the final segment. (not decided which of the two)

For this week at Michigan, I am going to go with two Roush drivers... I just hope it doesn't spell my doom. I'm going with Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth, they are both great here... and I don't want to use Stewart this race.

Next Week: Infineon (handicaps will be revamped so that road course racers are not amazingly easy-to-choose picks.)

RFG's Eliminator League Week 15

FYI - these rule changes are getting stupidly crazy. So please tell me if I did something wrong. I feel like I am doing my taxes each week playing this. This is like... the first rule change I've made all year... well and the save thing, but I've stated that all this would happen before the game even started. Other than that I've pretty much just gave bonuses and the rules haven't changed much at all.

RFG's Eliminator League Week 15

Michigan, Horsepower, Horsepower and more Horsepower, you need it here. With all the GWC's this year I don't see Sunoco Fuel being an issue.

Hamlin and Busch for Spikes.

That's Denny and Kurt, sorry can't pick my driver this week, he just hasn't had the luck here. Spikes.
