Welcome to year 4 of RFG's eliminator league, so far we have had RFG, Bradman, and Sfrye as our 3 winners of this game, which goes to show that repeat champions isn't as easy as it if for JJ... oh wait, he just lost his! Anyways, this is the signup sheet for my eliminator game for year four, many of the rules are the same, infact pretty much all of them are, I added from 1 to 2 drivers into season 2, and season 3 I made people pick which of those they thought would do better, really what more else can I do? I'm not going to add a 3rd driver because then its kinda pick 3... and there isn't much incentive I can think of other than that. Anyways, mostly copy paste here, but here are the rules so that Section needs to buy some more computers:
Weeks 1-2: These will just be practice weeks, people that miss both these weeks w/o an excuse will be eliminated from the game, yet if everyone participates, nobody will be eliminated this first session, just for people to get used to the game and get rid of the inactives. There will still be bonuses for winning this session, this session you may keep the same drivers for both races. (I will allow people to sign up for the game before week 3, but week 3 is the sign up deadline.)
Weeks 3-14: Each week, you must just change your lineup, in other words, you can keep one of your two drivers the same, as long as you change the other one, (Ex.= Week 3: J.J. and Jeff Gordon... Week 4: J.J. and Mark Matin is acceptable) now the only exception is that if you use the same driver for 4 consectutive races, I will make you switch him out, just don't want someone picking J.J. for all 12 races.
Weeks 15-26: You must switch both your drivers every week, meaning you must pick 4 different drivers each segment.
Weeks 26-27: You can have any lineup you want for both weeks, in addition, a bonus maybe thrown in. X amount of people will be eliminated!
Weeks 28-30: You may switch one or both of your drivers, like weeks 3-14, yet this is a 3 week peroid, if you switch away from a driver, you can't pick him again, and you can't use the same driver for all 3 weeks, in addition, a bonus maybe thrown in. X amount of people will be eliminated!
Weeks 31-36: You must use 10 different drivers throughout the whole contest, like weeks 15-26, in addition, a bonus maybe throw in. The champion will be crowned at the end!
The X's will be determined once I find out how many people are signed up.
Obviously by the way this is set up, I will need at least 19 people to sign up, but the more the merrier, there is no limit to how many can join... well... maybe if 30 people join I may cut it off...
Bonuses work the same as last year, where the winner of each session gets +3 points, a handicap list will still be given, and will be made on the next blog, the only exception is that for the first session, all of the top 3 will get +3 points, and this will not apply during chase weeks. Bonus points will be given throughout the chase with picking winning drivers, and from weeks 15-26, a save will be in a play for anyone that may be eliminated if they are in the top 3 of average session finish.
The bonuses for the chase are the same as last year, and go like this:
The person whom picks the most winning drivers will get +3 points for all 3 sessions.
The person whom picks the 2nd most winning drivers will get +3 points for the first two sessions.
The porson whom picks the 3rd most winning drivers will get +3 points for the first session.
(All ties will round bonus points down one level, where if there is a tie for 3rd, none of those people will get bonuses.)
Each week you must choose which driver of your two you believe will finish better than the other one, bolding your pick is reccomended, but if you don't, I will pick your first driver listed as your choice. No penalty if you get it wrong, but every race you get this right you get +2 points. Hopefully this will promote people making riskier decisions with handicap drivers and all.
