NFL Division Predictions

The NFC South is a big puzzle. If Carolina is healthy (a big if with Delhomme and Peppers, etc) then they can unseat the Bucs, who has a lot of aging veterans. New Orleans addressed their weakness by strengthening their defense this off season. If Brees can get it going early in the season, and the defensive backfield can slow down opposing quarterbacks,  the Saints can make a run at the playoffs at the expense of the Buccaneers.

The Falcons are a few years away from even sniffing a chance at the playoffs. Injuries will ultimately decide where the balance of power favorably tilts towards.

It all boils down to the most critical of all positions. Can Jake Delhomme reestablish himself as an efficient quarterback? Can Jeff Garcia stay on his 38 year old feet and be as successful as last year?

NFL Division Predictions

I think with the addition of Brett Favre, the Jets could definitely compete with the Bills for second place. They may even be a wild card contender now. Although, a lot is riding on Brett Favre's performance.

NFL Division Predictions

only division winners I would change are both of your North's

I like the Packers in the NFC North and the Steelers in the AFC North

as much as I think Troy Smith will surprise some people I'm not ready to put them at the top

did that last year, and you see how that worked out

ah and swap the 49ers and Seahawks, lol

not trying to jinx either of my teams here

NFL Division Predictions

LA,

I'm just going to zero in on the AFC North. I admit my Steelers bias, but I don't see a team with either Troy Smith (second year) or Joe Flacco (rookie) as the starting quarterback winning this division. Baltimore's defense is good, but it's not good enough to overcome its zero-level offense. The Ravens are moving in the right direction. They're just not there yet.

You've got it:

 AFC North

 Baltimore Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers

Cleveland Browns

Cincinnati Bengals

I'll say:

Pittsburgh Steelers

Baltimore Ravens

Cleveland Browns

Cincinnati Bengals

With a note that Cleveland could take the No. 2 slot.

NFL Division Predictions

I wont break down the entire divisions - just the Winners

AFC South - Indy isnt the obvious choice it once was. Jax'ville will give them all they can handle. But Indy wins it.

AFC North - Steelers too will have to overcome rivals - but they will edge Browns

AFC West - Chargers - no doubt

AFC East - Uh, Patriots have NO competition in this division.

NFC South - Bucs repeat - though Saints could sneak by them

NFC North - Depends where Favre ends up - but G Bay and Minn will be 1 and 2. Vikes take it either way

NFC West - Seahawks still the best team in the West. Every year the Cards are 'gonna break out" - not this year.

NFC East - Cowboys beat Giants for Division. This time they make it to the NFC Champ game

NFL Division Predictions

nfc west-seahawks, cardinals, rams, 49ers

nfc north-vikings, packers, bears, lions

nfc east-giants, cowboys, eagles, redskins

nfc south-saints, bucaneers, panthers, falcons

afc west-chargers, raiders, broncos, chiefs,

afc north-steelers, browns, ravens bengals

afc east-patriots, bills, jets, dolphins

afc south-colts, jaguars, texans, titans

There's no way I can see tthe ravens winning the north with their quarterbacks, many ravens fans agree they're still a year or two away.
