My NFL pre-season rankings.

These are my power rankings, I`m just trying to breathe some sense into this wild west show we seem to have going on, anyone see the rankings that Eagles fan made....
The NFL is wide open and I think any of the top 15 teams could win the Superbowl, probably one from the top 10 though.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers   -   They won the NFL championship and retained their star players they stay on top.
And the Ben Rothlisberger thing will blow over in no time.

2. New England Patriots -   Tom Brady is back in town and no matter what people say he is going to be fine,
plus the rest of their team is better this year than last with Fred Taylor and Joey Galloway.

3. Philidelphia Eagles    -   They got better in the offseason only question and this is a big one is Brian Westbrook OK?
He is the silent superstar and if he is not right I don`t think they go anywhere.

4. Indianapolis Colts     -   Some people will disagree but I think they got much better in the offseason.
they had a great draft, I know Tony Dungy is gone but I think he is a better person than he is a football coach.
If you follow what they have done and what they intend to do you`ll feel either exitement or fear.

5. Arizona Cardinals      -   They ALMOST won the superbowl.
Only thing is I think they lost more than they gained In the offseason.
I love these guys I just wish I were more exited about them this year, but I just dont see them challenging.

6. San Diego Chargers  -    You just don`t know about these guys,
Shawn Merriman is back so I think the defense will be better.
LaDainian Tomlinson may have one more special year in him and Phillip Rivers Made Huge Strides this offseason.

7. Minnesota Vikings    -     Very solid foundation. Sage Rosenfels is underrated he always has been.
Adrian Peterson is unstoppable so with an average passing game I dare you to imagine.
My only question is the defensive backfield.

8. Tennesee Titans       -    I think they got worse in the offseason,
I like some of what they did but Haynesworth leaves a unfillable gap
Especially in a team that MUST controll the ball defensively to win. Kerry Collins isn`t getting any younger.

9. Atlanta Falcons         -    I dont know what to say about these guys but, Matt Ryan wow lets see it again
                                          This time with Tony Gonzalez.

10. Green Bay Packers  -    Aaron Rodgers is the real deal fire anyone who had to do with the 49ers taking Alex Smith,
They get the nod over the Saints just because I think the defense is better, they have a tough divisoin.

11. New Orleans Saints -     Drew Brees can will these guys to the playoffs.
But the defense needs to show us something, anything. They remind me of the Colts of yesteryear.

12. Dallas Cowboys      -      Well I for one think not having Terrel Owens makes these guys better,
Time for Roy Williams to show us what he is made of the Detroit excuse just won`t cut it.
If I thought more of Wade Phillips these guys would be higher.

13. Houston Texans     -      I really like these guys they just keep getting better, no way they take the division but,
wildcard anyone? Even if the answer is no firing Gary Kubiak would be a big mistake.

14. New York Giants     -       Well they have some young talent at wideout which is good but I think they lost more than they gained In the offseason. They will be back I just don`t think it is going to be this season.

15.  Chicago Bears       -      Well Jay Cutler is really good but who is he going to throw too?
If they had a decent number 1 wideout they could be higher.
why let Berrian go why? Maybe the defense will revert to what they used to be.

16. Baltimore Ravens   -      Getting Derrick Mason back helps and if the defense is the same as it was then they may do better than last year even. I want to see it first though.

17. Miami Dolphins      -       They won`t win the division this year, and all those special offensive packages are not going to suprise anyone. I think they still need to find a long term QB before they can truly compete for the Superbowl.

18. Washington Redskins -   Well they always do get some impressive FA`s and then it doesn`t translate into wins I want to see Colt Brennan compete for the starting job Jason Campbell doesn`t seem to be cutting it.

19. Carolina Panthers   -       I don`t know why they are not better than they are but all I know is that they are not, a great running game cannot carry a team that chronically underperforms. I think it is time for John Fox to go.

20. Seattle Seahawks   -       Is Matt Hasselback washed up?
I don`t think so which means with Housh in the WR position they should be back to their old selves.
Last year everything seemed wrong but lets see them rebound before anyone gets excited.

21. Jacksonville Jaguars -     Maybe this will be a big bounce back year for them, then again maybe not.
Jack Del-Rio seems frustrated. Even an ageing Torry Holt helps legitamize the passing game.

22. Kansas City Chiefs   -     I think Matt Cassel is for real.
They are here only because they have to prove that they are for real first.
A weak division should help them with that.

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Lots of questions for these guys, first and foremost does Brian Griese start?
I say yes and I think that makes them a threat to win the division.
But like everyone else they have somethings to prove.
Coaching Changes and the loss of Monet Kiffin brings them down.

24. San Francisco 49ers   -    Can Mike Singletary bring reason to the Bay? I`m going to say yes.
I really think we`ll see improvment here, The defense is a bright spot.

25. New York Jets           -     I am not on the Mark Sanchez bandwagon,
Pete Carrol didn`t think he was ready and neither do I.
Good news is the rest of the team is pretty good.

26. Cincinnati Bengals   -      Is Carson Palmer healthy? They could be decent if they would just play to potential.

27. Clevland Browns       -      I think Eric Mangini will get these guys in shape eventually, but lots of issues here.
Whats wrong with Braylon Edwards? Will Either Derrick Anderson or Brady Quinn play well?
Have they learned how to sterilize the surgical instuments? Anthing left Jamaal Lewis?

28. Denver Broncos       -      Thats right they are BELOW the Browns, I don`t think Josh McDaniels was ready for this.
The defense is terrible, I don`t expect more than 5 wins all season.

29. Buffalo Bills             -      Why get TO why? That makes little sense I think they are headed downhill,
which is bad because they are allready below sealevel.

30. Oakland Raiders      -      Al Davis must be getting senile becuase nothing they have done makes any sense,
they are going to be bad for a long time.

31. St. Louis Rams        -       Things are bad here, real bad.

32. Detroit Lions           -       Well Calvin Johnson is good.

My NFL pre-season rankings.

I think you rated the Jets way to low,  yes Sanchez is young but they did get Bart scott and have a pretty damn good defense.  If there offense can turn it around they can do wonders.

My NFL pre-season rankings.

I agree with most of your picks, they're actually one of the best on here. But whats up with the Titans all the way down in 8th. I realize they lost big Al but Brown his backup last year did great when he got in there. He's also started this preseason off great along with the rest of the D. Right now there only problem is they are'nt wrapping up and completing tackels, but that will come by the season starts. There offense looks great with Brit there rookie and Washington as there new WR's. But besides that your picks look pretty good.

My NFL pre-season rankings.

What my ranking are biased!   You have the Niners ahead of the Eagles and Cowboys? When is the last time they had a winning season?
Same thing with the Chiefs, not that I don`t think they have some potential but alot of teams have potential, Cinncinatti,
Houston, Seattle and Green Bay and none of them are in the top 10.

The Titans #24 you are smoking something my friend because with the same QB they had the best record in the NFL this year Mcnair has been retired for year what does he have to do with anything? Broncos good D what!! They sucked last year and won`t be much better this year.   And I`m sorry but Cutler doesn`t make the Bears a top 5 team, he could but he would need a reciever first.
I can`t really argue with the Patriots at #1 but I think the Steelers deserve it I mean they did win the Superbowl...

My NFL pre-season rankings.

farely biased?

COMPLETLY biased.  Eagles? Really?  I cannot see them doing anything this year.  Vikings do not have a QB and their top ten.  Rosenfels is now considered to be amazing???

Jacksonville and Seattle are Ranked waaayyy to high.  So are the Titans.

1. Patriots (Have to)
2. Steelers (Reigning Champs....Medenhall is back)
3. Colts (With a eh year last year, i think Peyton is really focused)
4. Bears (Cutler makes them immediately better)
5. Ravens (I think this will be a good year, but a declining year in total, might need some 2010 FA signings)
6. Cheifs (Yes, the Cheifs - had a good D last year just needed a QB and guess what...)
7. Panthers (Delhomme has to step up a little)
8. Falcons (Not just Ryan and White, but Turner the Burner)
9. Saints (Defensive overhaul, and a lot of weapons for Brees)
10. Giants (Could be lower, wasn't happy with offseason)
11. Cardinals (Not sold on them, plus I think Warner will get injured this year, and Lienhart is not a leader of MEN yet)
12. Chargers (If their D steps up...Norv is such a dope too)
13. Dolphins (Could be lower, I don't have too much faith in Pennington)
14. Vikings (Rosenfels will be better, but division got tougher with Cutler)
15. Broncos (Good D, QB's will have a tough time against them.)
16. Niners (Yes, the Niners a definite surprise team, already have a good D MUCH depends on Shaun Hill, well ALL of it does really)
17. Eagles (Tough year for Eagles, I don't think McNabb will stay healthy)
18. Packers (Still not sold on their D, will give Vikings a Run for their $$$ though)
19. Cowboys (As long as Wade is still there, they goin nowhere)
20. Bills (They could be higher, I just don't like QB's and coach, kind of a soft team)
21. Redskins (Campell needs a good year (pressure), Portis is getting old, Not sold on Coach)
22. Jets (New every thing this year, Sanchez will be good, but will show rookie mistakes)
23. Bengals (EVERY year is their breakout year...)
24. Titans (I think they fall quick, bad off season, no QB, McNair...)
25. Texans (I just can't think much of this team, they could be higher D is much improved.)
26. Browns (Their coach, Manlameie, is a total bust - he's like daffy duck)
27. Jags (I do like their QB, but such a dissapointing year last year)
28. Bucs (Should actually be lower, but D is good)
29. Raiders (Not sold on Russell, they could be higher)
30. Lions (Not sold on Stafford)
31. Rams (Really?  Could beat a few sleeping Giants thought)

My NFL pre-season rankings.

First of all these RAPE allogations are not likely to just blow over. Rburger will have this thing crawling around in the back of his mind ALL SEASON LONG. Don't kid yourself. I don't think he has enough of those miricle throws left to overcome so many close games as he did last year. Do you know how many games they had to come back from the 4th quarter and overtime to win? Too many. Maybe they should rank 3rd or 4th. but not 1st. I can see your point although I don't necessarily agree with most of these until #11. Saints = no defense. Nuff said. 12. The Boys could be good or they could implode. I'm going with the latter. Too many questions after losing T.O. and others. Can they move the ball with Witten being doubled now that T.O. is gone? 14. The G-men are better than that even without the sharpshooter. IMO somewhere around 9th. 15. See previous comment and apply. And finally we stop at the portal to NFL hell at number 26. If they fail to show up this season as has been the case for a few decades, then maybe this is where they belong. I don't think people have taken a real look at this team however. Yeah I know they have sucked since rocks were invented. Yeah I know this team has only won 1 playoff game in 18 years. The thing is, for some strange reason that defies all logic and sets back what all sports fans have always known to be true, "This team is different" There I said it. The tird has dropped on the dancefloor. This team has one of the easiest schedules in the league this year when compared to winning percentage last year. Carson is healthy, and the Ohoke or what ever he is called these days is actually getting it for once. All I'm saying is this NEW team called the Bengals, has the potential to win 10 games or more this season. So that's my view.

There..go ahead and laugh, I don't blame you.

But remember 10 wins....

My NFL pre-season rankings.

-The Broncos have to be lower. McDaniels is Mike Vick and they are Pit Bulls.

WTF?  What does that even mean?

My NFL pre-season rankings.

-The Cardinals were 9-7 in that weak ass division last year. That division was weaker last year than it will be this year with Hasselbeck back. And Singletary taking the team over for good, preferrably with his pants on. People tend to forget they went on a streak and could possibly eat it again this year. Kurt Warner is complaining about his hip. Thats an old ass man right there. And if he goes down, who is going to step up? Leinhart, doubt it.

-Redskins at 10???? In the NFC East?????? You cant have three teams in the same du\ivision, it's mathematically impossible. Portis is old, Campbell won't succeed in that town ever.

-I think your on the money with the Cowboys though.

-The Broncos have to be lower. McDaniels is Mike Vick and they are Pit Bulls.
