Now we have gotten through the Catcher, 1st Base, and second base positions...We come to SS..
Team So Far
C- Johnny Bench
1B- Lou Gehrig
2B- Rogers Hornsby

I can see Honus Wagner.   Bu there is no way Ozzie Smith was as good as Dave Concepcion!    Better batting average, more hrs, More RBI's in about 500 less ab's.   Its a crime that DC is not in the hall.

SS is a tough one, but on the spot like this I would go with the Iron Man CalRipken. Alan Trammel and The Wizard of Oz as honorable mentions

Greatest Baseball Team SS

Gotta go with The Wizard Ozzie Smith.  NOBODY fielded that position like he did.  He was amazing.  The diving barehaded catch he made on a grounder up the middle could be the greatest defensive play ever.
