Greatest Baseball Team LF

I think Tim Raines covered the most space of any left fielder I've ever seen. Rickey was fast but Raines had better instincts in the field.

I never saw Musial, Williams or Yaz, but I think they are the cream of the crop based on the stats I've seen.

Put me down for Ted Williams. (.482 career on base percentage)

I'll have to vote Stan Musial this time. Biased again. I saw him bat. If anyone remembers or has seen. The way he used to kinda corkscrew into the batters box and unwind all at once on the ball? Ted Williams was before my time and hats off to him.

Don't forget the short lived Bo Jackson.  He had a screamin' arm and one hell of a bat.

I'm going to have to go with Ted Williams. When he came to bat, pitchers flinched... and still do.

Ted Williams.  Had he not lost time due to military service, this wouldn't even be close.

Greatest Baseball Team LF

When i think of LF, Stan Musial is the first name that comes to my head in a very difficult position to choose from.  Stan "the man" Musial won 7 batting titles, 3 MVP's, took his team to the pennant in his first 4 of 5 years with the Cardinals.  He is my vote for best LF all-time!

I do have to say the following rank very closely, and i will put them in order vs prior posts of just listing them.

Ted Williams

Barry Bonds

Rickey Henderson

Carl Yastrzemski

Willie Stargell

Shoeless Joe Jackson

Lou Brock

Manny Ramirez

Tim Raines

and last but not least (except in my meaningless post) Al Simmons

thanks again clutch, this has been fun!
