Vote For Your Favorite Songs - The C Bands

Posted on: August 24, 2008 6:14 pm

First off I wish to thank everyone who has participated on my previous entries.  Tonight at midnight is the cutoff for voting on my first entry, bands who's names start with a number and the Letter A.  Cutoff for the vote on this poll will be midnight EST August 31st

Reminder, my library sorts my groups alphabetically by first name so don't be stressed out by not seeing Eric Clapton (he'll be in E's or Jim Croce (he'll be in J's).  I also want to remind you that this is NOT a complete list, just a condensed list.  If you wish to choose a song by a "C" band not on this list, feel free to do so.  The list is primarily my choice of most popular songs and to help you think.

My votes are for Drive by the Cars, With Arms Wide Open by Creed which in my opinion was the best song of the 90s, Higher by Creed which is also from their Human Clay CD and I'll reserve my fourth vote in the event of a tiebreaker or I'll pick it later.

Votes - Drive, The Cars - 1, With Arms Wide Open - Creed - 1, Higher, Creed - 1

Gotta' add one from off the list for Cream!  Brings back way too many memories from college.  We used this song in a video we made in college.  It was a trip.

    1.  Cream-Badge

    2.  Chicago-25 or 6 to 4.  Any song about 4 guys splitting up 25 joints between them is good in my book.

    3.  Creed-With Arms Wide Open  I am lucky enough to have had dinner with all of the member of Creed except the lead singer.  They are now called Alter Bridge and I had a blast with them.  They all wanted to go home after this dinner, but my friend and I talked them into going out and partying until about 3am.  They had a big benefit concert the next night and they were not feeling real well.  We went to the dress rehersal and they told us we were evil and they were told by their band manager to stay away from us until after they had performed!  I felt like hell, also.  It is hard to party like a rock star!

    4.  Chicago-Colour My World

    I'm voting for:

Tonight She Comes- The Cars, Have You Seen the Rain- CCR, White Room- Cream, Looking Out My Back Door-CCR

My apologies to the Chicago fans.  If it ain't a song to hump to, I really don't like any of their stuff.  Too many wind instruments for my preference.

New totals for White Room 4,Looking out my Back Door- 2, Have you ever seen the rain -2

I'm fartsalad, and I approve of this blog.

Thanks Bluesman for your votes.   You like the lengthier song titles I see.  All are great songs though.

Thanks for the vote TommyGunz.  You can make as many as three more votes if you come back.  Although I personally picked a Creed song, perhaps two, I'm kind of lukewarm about the group.  I think they're much better than you make them out to be, but we're all going to have differences in taste.  Heck I love classic rock and roll but I wouldn't spend a dollar to buy a CSN&Y CD,  and I'm not a big fan of Springsteen, but I realize that they're songs strike a certain cord for many people and that's why they're so successful for so long.

Creed is absolutely awful. I can't believe they are getting any votes. The are almost as bad as N'sync. I have to go with CCR - Bad Moon Rising
