Hi Again from the frozen tundra of Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes and rent-a-Favre! Well, the Vikings did it to us again...built up our hopes and sent them crashing down again just shy of the Super Bowl! And I had JUST gotten out of therapy from the Gary Anderson miss back at the end of the last century! Oh well, as much as I hate to admit it, the better team probably won that night. You cannot turn the ball over five times and expect to win!
I know you've heard the ESPN report that Favre is retiring and moving to Minnesota?... He and AP are going to start a bakery and specialize in turnovers! Sorry...bad joke!
And now, to add insult to injury, Bryant McKinnie actually gets kicked off the freakin Pro Bowl roster?! Are you kidding me? What kind of a loser type schmuck do you have to be to get removed from the Pro Bowl roster?! Like he deserves to be in there anyway? Anyone remember he got his big booty benched during the Carolina game? Julius Peppers was beating him like a red-headed stepchild? Just want you to know, he doesn't represent Minnesota. We DO have some classy people up here! Promise...
That's all for now...
Honestly thinking of becoming a Packer fan..

So we're hearing all of a sudden that Kurt Warner doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame? Or at least needs to win on Sunday to become a first ballot lock. Who's kidding who?
I loved Pete Prisco's article on this whole debate. The comparison with Joe Namath was perfect. Why is a boozing skirt chaser like Joe Willie in the Hall of Fame, and Kurt Warner has to win on Sunday to get into that same Hall of Fame? Doesn't character count for anything in our society anymore? And say nothing of statistics! Joe's Super Bowl stats were pedestrian at best. You can make the argument that era's are different, styles of play are different, and whatever. Don't buy it at all.
This guy has been to two Super Bowls, and won one. MVP awards? You betcha. Success against LONG odds! Tons of that. What's wrong with a guy who appreciates everything he has and gives credit to God instead of himself and his "peeps". I hate to say this, but Warner is fighting a bias in the media and mainstream culture against the Christian faith and God in general. If Kurt was caughting screwing around on his wife, constantly self promoting, getting in trouble with the law, and then writing a tell all book that was more opinion than factual, he'd be a first ballot Hall of Fame candidate.
Come on, this guy and this franchise are the ultimate underdogs! And this country started as the ultimate underdog, didn't it? How can you not like this guy and this franchise, at least a little bit? I'm not saying you have to appreciate Warner's religion, although I would love it if you did, but listen...this team hasn't won any kind of championship in sixty years! The last time they won a title, there wasn't any such thing as the Super Bowl! In the dictionary under inept, it says see the Cardinals! That Bidwell family make Al Davis in Oakland look like a genius, and in case you were curious, Al Davis is a living ad for death! Have you seen the scarecrow out in California lately? Yuk....
How'd that Matt Leinart draft pick work out Arizona? Glad Warner's still around?

Well, it's time for the Vikings to prove their worth! Have we got the stuff to beat the Cardinals? I'm more than a little worried....I've got Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald on my Fantasy team, and I'm 12-2 going into the playoffs. You think I score a ton of points because of those two? Yep! Gotta get to Warner!
Speaking of put up or shut up....Timberwolves need to put up...I'm not sure what that looks like for such a crappy franchise...How about just being competiive? That'd be a nice change, wouldn't it? Who in the world has Kevin McHale been sleeping with to keep that GM job all these years? He got a thing going with Taylor on the side? Doing a few favors in their spare time? He's got to be the worst judge of talent in pro sports, and that says a lot, don't it?!
How would you like to be McFail on the sidelines, coaching this mess he put together? Spose he's hearing it from the few fans left in the Target Center? Any chance those folks behind him might be voicing their opinions as he prowls the sideline? Hope they give it to him good!
Doesn't this remind you of the Isaiah Thomas debacle last year in New York? GM puts together bad team, then has to step down to the sideline to coach the team? Team stinks, then he gets fired? Notice a bit of a similar pattern here? All that's left is for Kev to get his walking papers...
Starving for good NBA basketball in Minnesota....only thing I can say is go Gophers!
