To Jay Jacobs, Bobby Lowder And Auburn University

B4 Tubbs and Reggie Barlow ( Alabama State ) decided 2 jump in2 the spread offense this past season,  mayb they should've studied Larry Blankeney's ( Troy ) management style..........

Tubb's hired Blakeney's OC,  Tony Franklin,  last December.....U might remember he also fired Franky 6 gms in2 this season........

Alabama State's Barlow hired Ben Noonan and OL coach Eric Schnupp last January 2 install the spread......he fired them both last month with 2 gms 2 go.........

It's obvious both teams struggled in the new offense but so did Troy......4 a while....b4 Troy started 2 click and ended up in a bowl gm @ the end of the season......Oh, and Troy won its conference 2 straight yrs in Franklin's system.......

Blakeney wanted 2 score pts, so he made a decision and stuck with it...... He made the commitment 2 get the players who fit the program and it paid off...............Mayb that's y he has won more gms than any other coach @ Troy and more gms than anybody else in the state of Alabama except 4 Bryant,  Cleve Abbott and " Shug " Jordan......

So I,  jrock,  propose 2 Jay Jacobs,  keep Chizzy as our defensive coach and hire Larry Blakeney as our head coach.........Or, hire Gary Patterson as our head coach and have Blakeney as our OC and Chizzy as our DC..........It's not 2 late Jay,  think about who u just hired 2 lead us,  make it right Jay........

Give Thanks............

THE AUBURN CREED

I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work.

I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully.

I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.

I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports that develop these qualities.

I believe in obedience to law because it protects the rights of all.

I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all.

I believe in my Country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by "doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God."

And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.
-George Petrie (1945)

Thanksgiving is upon us.   Time 2 give thanks.  I want 2 give thanks,  things that I am thankful 4.  I am thankful 4 God allowing me 2 wake up everyday and all the opportunities that HE give me.  I am thankful 4 my family,  without them I would b incomplete.......and I am thankful 2 b an Auburn Tiger.  It feels great 2 b an AU Tiger.   Granted,  we are not having a banner yr but,  like Obama said,  I still have hope.  Some of my AU faithful has written this yr off,  they are looking 2 next yr.  Y??  We still have 2 more gms left.  That's right Bammers,  2 more gms left......b/c when we beat u Bammers this wkend in The Iron Bowl we will b bowl eligble and we will b off 2 a bowl gm while u Bammers will b wondering, " What happened?? ".  And when we beat u Bammer,  it's not going 2 b an upset,  it will b reality.  AU is the best team in the state of Alabama,  always have been and always will b.  Paying a coach 10 million dollars a yr will not change that Bammer.  So give thanks Bammer,  thanks 4 AU beating u and ruining ur NC hopes....give thanks 2 FL 4 beating u in the SEC Championship.......and give thanks 2 me,  jrock2890,  4 allowing me 2 tell u, "  I told u so ".........

WAR DAMN EAGLE BABY...............
