Avatar Changes

I'm doing my best to spread the word, because I, along with 99% of the people I've seen voice their opinion on this so far, are whole-heartedly against the changes they're making to avatars. Basically after the start of March, unless your avatar is a team logo, or a sports figure who is in uniform, your avatar won't be 'legal'.

I won't go into how bogus or un-American their new changes are, I will just simply ask you to do your best to voice your opinion on this completely uncalled for change.

Go to this link for details.

Your Favorite Major League Stadium?

Well, time for another entry. This time around I'm going to ask people which stadiums they have been to, and which is their favorite.

I'll kick it off; I've been to 3 stadiums myself, Busch Stadium II, Busch Stadium III, and Kauffman Stadium.

The old Busch was a decent stadium, but I think the new one blows it out of the water. Kauffman is a very nice stadium, it's too bad right now it looks like a mess with all the renovations going on. The newest Busch takes the cake in my book; I've been there several times, sat in several different areas, and came to the conclusion that there just isn't a bad seat in that place. Even with the worst spot I've had, the seats way up in left field foul territory near the Hardees stand, was great. I could see all the action just fine, had no problem seeing Chris Duncan's greatest catch in his outfield career, and had a great view of the arch as well. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be once the ballpark village finally gets completed. Go Cardinals!

Your favorite Cardinals moment this past decade?

Well, it's hard to really even realize this, but this is going to be the final season of this decade of Cardinals baseball. So having said that, what is your favorite moment for the past decade? This encompasses the years 2000-2008, although I guess if you want to throw something in like the recent release of Adam Kennedy as your favorite, I won't hold it against ya.

I'll kick it off with my favorite; the Jim Edmonds home run in Game 6 of the NLCS against the Houston Astros in 2004. That game was dramatic til the very last swing, and then the call that still rings in my memory, "And we are going to Game 7!".

Next? Chime in.

Where are you at?

Well, I haven't been very active on here lately due to a ton of stuff going on in my life, but I figured I would start an entry here just to stir some chatter with my fellow users.

I'm always curious as to where people live, and since most of you are local Cardinal fans, you're fairly close to me. So basically I just want to know, where do you guys on here live? I'm personally from Mexico, Missouri, about 100 miles NW of St. Louis.

Possible Openings for a Fantasy Baseball League

I'm forming a baseball league on here, I typically do Yahoo leagues, however this year I'm doing at least one on here just to mix things up a bit. I currently won't let anyone in right away, as I prefer to do leagues with people I personally know, as in real life. However I will probably have issues getting all 10 spots filled, so if I know you on here, and you're interested in participating in a standard 5x5 roto league here, just post here and let me know.

Thoughts on Super Bowl 43

Okay, well now that the game is over, and it's official, does anyone have any opinions on what they could have done to make this a better game? First of all I think with the number of questionable calls that they need to make a rule for future playoff games that any questionable play should automatically be booth reviewed, taking coaches and quick snaps out of the equation.

Obviously my biggest gripe here is that the refs were way too much of a factor in the outcome of the game, as it seemed like they threw a flag every 2-3 plays. Most penalties since Super Bowl XII, pathetic. I turned the game on tonight to watch a great game, instead I watched the men in black and white stripes dictate the outcome of the game. I'd have to say that this is my final season watching football at least until one of my local teams puts something decent together, because I'm getting sick of the stupid referees.

First Entry, Welcome!

Well I'm giving this blogging thing a shot. For now this one will just be to chit chat and get to know people and talk about whatever's on our mind. I might post others down the road on certain topics, but for now consider it an open forum.
