LSU Pro Day results, link to videos

LSU did a terrific job of highlighting their players accomplishments at their Pro Day earlier today. Not only are the official results of all 18 participants laid out on their site, they also provide links to several videos of the event -- broken due by specific drills.

The most notable results of the day came from running back Charles Scott, who measured in six pounds less today that he did at the Combine and it showed in his time in the 40-yard dash. Measuring in at 5-11 3/8, 232 pounds, Scott was twice timed at 4.53 seconds. He had been clocked in the low 4.7s on some scouts' watches in Indianapolis and was officially credited with a 4.67.

Keiland Williams, the "other" LSU back also was impressive, proving sufficiently recovered from ankle surgery to run the 40-yard dash in 4.51 and 4.52 seconds at 5-11, 231 pounds.  Williams had flashed as the starter after Scott went down with a collarbone. He broke his ankle against Ole Miss and leaves with only three starts to his credit, but played in 47 games for the Tigers. He is viewed as an intriguing late round prospect with some upside.

The official results, as listed by LSU's website are below. I've also provided a link to the here which have the results and links to the videos.

The asterisks denote results that occurred at the Combine.

FB John Conner replaces Charles Scott for South

LSU running back Charles Scott failed the physical to participate in the Senior Bowl but because he was in town yesterday was measured by scouts anyway.

To fill his spot on the roster, Kentucky fullback John Conner was added to the South roster. He participated in this afternoon's practice, wearing #32 and sporting a Miami Dolphins helmet.

The Dolphins, of course, are coaching the South...

Conner is among the only true fullbacks worthy of draft consideration. The former walk-on played in a school record 54 games for the Wildcats and is not only a devastating lead blocker, he's an underrated runner and receiver. Considering the use Tony Sparano and his staff got this year out of Lousaka Polite, Conner should get plenty of reps in practice.
