Key NL East Players

NL EAST Key Players 05/04/2009 <!-- 233950658465985 --> 0 Comments   Edit | Settings | Delete Are you sure you want to delete this post? This action is permanent. Yes, delete post No, keep post NYM Key Player: Jose Reyes. I believe he is the single most important everyday player on the Mets. The game starts with him and he has the ability to drop a bunt then steal second and third...or hit the long ball while playing an above average shortstop. He hits .310, 10 hrs, 65 rbi, 120 runs, 65 steals and that paired with some UNLIKELY Met clutch hitting and they should be number one in their divison neck and neck with the champs.

PHI Key Player: Shane Victorino. He is the heart and soul of the Phillies (a team that reminds me an awful lot of the Red Sox with their great commeraderie. He will give you a solid stat sheet all year while playing great defense and being clutch. He is the piece that the Mets are missing in their search to end their 20+ year WS drought.

ATL Key Player: Chipper Jones. Seems like he has been the key player since Dale Murphy left lol he is the definiton of consistancy. The Braves in my eyes don't really have a shot to be the division champs this year but are always one player away from contention.

FLA Key Player: SP. Florida is only going as far as their starting pitchers will take them. They have some live arms in Miller, Nolasco, and Sanchez who along with Volstad can be a great rotaion in 3 years barring any bad injuries.

WAS Key Player: Ryan Zimmerman. He must be on crack signing such an extention with the Nats but he is talented unfortunatly it doesnt matter on this team they are flat out bad.
