Day 5

Day 5:  Handicap:  5.9
Played nine two days ago and 18 yesterday.  I shot 38, then 73.  The 73 i shot (-2) 34 on the front, then 39 on the back with three bogeys.  I had total of 2 birdies and 3 bogeys.  I was even par going into 18, but hit into the bunker on my approach.  I had a bad "fried-egg" lie and hit it over the green into another bunker.  Then i got tentative and just barely got it out, but i made the bogey putt from off the green to shot my best round in relation to par.  I am playing again today on the other course which has been closed due to tournaments.

Day 4

Day 4:  Handicap: 6.6
Played 18 the other day with a friend.  Made a couple of birdies but couldn't buy a par on the front nine.  I shot 83.  The greens and tee boxes were airated so that has to be taken into consideration.  There were about 2-3 putts i definitely would have made had the ball not hopped and skipped its way to the hole.  I've been putting a lot on the putting green in my room.  I will  play again today, possibly tomoro, and definitely on sunday.  Today i will play on the airated course because they are having a tournament on the one that is still good.  If you are wondering there are two courses at the club i am a member at which makes it nice when they are having tournaments or working on one course.

Day 3

Day 3 Handicap: 6.6
Shot 76 yesterday from the tips on the new course for the first time which is about 6700 yards which i guess is not that long, but longer than many courses in my area.  It's not a new course but it is the first time playing there since becoming a member about a week ago.  No practice today, although i made a putting green in my room so i can practice those 5 footers for as long as i want.  76 brought my handicap down to 6.6, thats 6.6 strokes to go.  Missed a few short puts for par and birdie, but shot even par on the back after a 40 on the front.  Missed about a 30ft eagle putt from just off the green as my quest for my first eagle continues.

Day 1-2

Day 1:  Handicap: 7.3
Played nine holes at the course i just joined as a member.   Never played this course before and shot a 40 with 5 straight bogeys on the last five holes after being one under through 4.

Day 2: Handicap:  7.2
Played 18 holes with a buddy.  Shot even par 36 on the front with  3 birdies and a double bogey.  The back nine is easier, but i couldn't get anything going and made two double bogeys.  Ended up with a 76 third 76 on that course which i've probably played 50 times. That at least brought my handicap down .1, no ground lost.
