T-Mac to Knicks, A Blockbuster? I Think, Not!

All the sports hubs are dubbing this swap of mediocrities a "blockbuster," but that's nothing but sensationalism. T-Mac WAS a super star; he's old now, about to pull this or sprain that just about every time he touches the rock. Ditto for Martin, whose a bit younger, but small and prone to injuries too. Jeffries, hell, he pays rent by the month, and he won't stick in Houston longer than a year. Jordan Hill has yet to eclipse "benchwarmer" status. Carl Landry and Sergio Rodriguez: sixth men, at best. Hughes: on his last legs. And, Joey Who? As for the draft pick variables, the Knicks are going to sign at least one real BLOCKBUSTER player this summer, maybe two, which means they will--finally--make the playoffs. So, the traded 2011 pick will be mid to late first round. Their 2012 should be the last pick of the 1st round after they win the NBA title, because they will sign yet another real BLOCKBUSTER player in the summer of 2011.
