Could Roger Clemens pitch in Puerto Rico?

Roger Clemens may pitch again -- in Puerto Rico.

Clemens' son, Koby, is playing for the Indios de Mayaguez this winter and a Puerto Rico newspaper, El Nuevo Dia, is reporting the seven-time Cy Young Award winner wants to join him. However, the New York Daily News reports quotes a source as saying "it's pure gossip" that Clemens would pitch for the team, even though it does confirm the 49-year-old threw a bullpen session with the team.

According to the Daily News, El Nuevo Dia quoted an unnamed team member as saying Roger Clemens "wants to pitch, that's 100 percent sure. I saw his desire to compete again. He was (at) the practice and said he wanted to play with his son."

The report included a picture of Clemens throwing in an Indios uniform.

The younger Clemens, 24, played first base, third base and left field at Triple-A Oklahoma City in 2011, hitting .234/.331/.424 with 16 home runs for the Astros' top farm team.
