The newest member of the Yankees rotation is under investigation by Major League Baseball, which is trying to determine whether he and minor-league pitcher Wilkin De La Rosa injected each other with B-12 last season at Double-A Trenton, according to the New York Post.
B-12 isn't banned, but baseball doesn't let players just go around giving each other injections. It has to be done by a licensed physician. MLB also wants to make sure B-12 was all that was in the alleged shots.
Nova made his first major-league start Monday. De La Rosa is still at Double-A, waiting for his shot (OK, bad pun).
