Favre meeting with NFL today over Sterger issue

Posted by Will Brinson

Brett Favre, even though it's the Vikings day off, is in the team's headquarters, preparing to meet with NFL's VP of security Milt Ahlerich on Tuesday, relating to the Jenn Sterger matter, where Favre allegedly sent her racy pictures while they were both employed (at least to a degree) by the New York Jets.

According to the Minnesota Star-Tribune, Brad Childress said the Vikings will not 'play a role' in the meeting, but Favre's teammates are being supportive.

"For me personally, that's something I'm not worrying about too much, something I can't control," tight end Visanthe Shiancoe said. "All I can do is show him my support and be there for him just like a true teammate, a true friend should be. This is a tight-knit family here pretty much. We've got each other's backs."

Reportedly, Sterger has yet to cooperate with the NFL's investigation, an issue that could impede the league successfully finding information worthy of a Personal Conduct Policy violation.

There's also been discussion as to whether or not the NFL should contact A.J. Daulerio, the editor of Deadspin.com, who initially published the alleged pictures and voicemails.

Daulerio told CBSSports.com that he would "cooperate up to a certain point" and while he wouldn't reveal his source, he would "answer general questions." Daulerio also said that he had not yet been contacted by the NFL.
