Moms are the best people in the world, but typically they worry a lot. And you almost never hear them smack talk their sons, particularly when those sons play in the NFL.
But that's exactly what Dave Tollefson's mom, Debra Crocker, did when she came to see him play recently -- apparently, she was in the locker room waiting for him after an injury and had a little, um, motivational speech ready for him.
"Tape it up!" Tollefson says she told him. "I didn't fly here from California to watch you ride the pines!"
"She was like 'What are you doing?' " Tollefson said. "I said, 'Mom, I'm hurt.' She said, 'I don't give an F. Get it taped up and get the hell in there! I don't want to hear this.'
"I love mom. She's crazy."
That's so awesome. Typically whenever I do something stupid in front of my mom, she just shakes her head and tries to pretend like I'm just kidding or something.
The "Crocker Response" is probably better suited for an NFL player and I certainly wouldn't want to have grown up with my mom constantly berating me , but, yeah, being a fly on the all for Christmas at the Tollefson house would be fun.
