Contract advisor Paul Lawrence died suddenly today near his home in Everett, Wash., according to a statement released tonight by sports agency Maximum Sports Management.
From Eugene Parker, a partner at the agency:
“We are devastated by today’s news, and our hearts go out to Paul’s family. Paul was an important part of the Maximum family, and all of us will miss him dearly. His ability to work with our athletes and the relationships he built over the past decade has had a direct result in the success of our company. We will miss Paul’s vision and his daily enthusiastic approach in an industry where he has had such a positive effect.”
Some of the athletes Lawrence represented include Arizona’s Adrian Wilson and Tim Hightower, Philadelphia’s Ricky Sapp and St. Louis’ Dorrel Scott.
UPDATED (10:34 p.m.): According to the Sports Business Journal's Liz Mullen, Lawrence was playing basketball nar his home when he died suddenly.
