Want to see Tyreke Evans go Cannonball Run?

Posted by Matt Moore

It's not every day that you get to see video of an NBA player breaking all sorts of traffic laws. Today is not every day. Sacramento police today released video taken from a California Highway Patrol Cessna showing Evans in a dark purple Mercedes driving up to 120 miles an hour and crossing all lanes. Perhaps most scary is the end of the video, where the arresting officer has his gun trained on Evans while Evans is stopped in his car. The "what ifs" are pretty scary, as any such event in life is.

For his part, Evans does not resist in any manner, is compliant, and is briefly handcuffed, then cited and released. He was sentenced to probation last week for the arrest in May. Here's video of the whole thing. Nothing crazy exciting, but it should be noted Evans doesn't turn the ball over once during this whole thing. No word on whether the arresting officer thought he was a real point guard or not.
