Video: The NBA Finals go Lego

Posted by Matt Moore

We're likely to get a few dramatic moments in these NBA Finals, considering how close Game 1 was and both teams' comeback abilities.  And maybe one day they'll wind up turned into Legos like these from Tauntr, courtesy of IamaGM.com:

Feels like we're missing a few... something that looks bad for John Starks, something with Kobe, maybe the Ray Allen drive in 2008. But that's a pretty fun list.

And hey, the form on it looks better than most Shawn Marion jumpers.

Video: Jerry Sloan raises dough with curse jar

Jazz's new video is comedy gold with Jerry Sloan.

I recently asked on Twitter what once coach you would be terrified of screaming at you more than any other. The overwhelming response was Jerry Sloan.  Sloan has a reputation for being able to rip your head off at the drop of a hat.  But what if you could take Sloan's particular brand of conversational approach and make a little dough off of it?  The Jazz wondered just that:

You have to admit. That's pretty funny.

Yao Ming is back

Ming looks good in workouts after resuming basketball activities. Also, he's very tall.

Yao Ming may be over the hill. His body may have simply broken down too many times. He may be unable to return to his former glory. But he still is one thing. Tall. He is really, really tall. And he works his tall tail off.

The Rockets today posted video evidence of Ming back on the floor, resuming basketball activities and generally being Mingish. In the video, he showed a lot of things Rockets fans want to see. Most notably, the feet seem to be moving without much gingerness. He looks strong and fast. And for basketball fans all over? That turn around one-touch drop-it-and-make-'em-suffer shot is there. And it looks... good . But hey, don't take my word for it, take a look and see for yourself what a seven foot tall Chinese guy sweating through his clothes and nailing post-j's looks like:

Blast from the past: Amar'e as high school pup

Video reminds us that Amar'e Stoudemire is and always was an athletic superfreak.

Amar'e Stoudemire just inked the deal that will make him the biggest basketball star in the biggest city in the country. His star is shining brighter than ever. And the calls of criticism about his defense, awareness, and intensity will continue to plague him, but so will the accolades and praise for his athleticism and scoring ability follow him to the Big Apple. But as this next chapter of his career begins, we can also look back and say "Man, kid could always get up."

Via Dime comes this video with one of the more bizarre/awesome soundtracks to a mixtape you'll find, including "It's A Wonderful World" of all things. It shows Amar'e in high school, laying waste to his poor peers, and blazng a path of destruction that would lead to the bigs in a few short years. There's plenty of time to analyze how Amar'e defends the pick and roll or his rebound rate. For now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the soothing sounds of Stoudemire blistering adolescents all those years ago.
