Time For Healing

At last the firing of Brad Childress as coach, finally the last straw in the Green Bay game. Time for healing now. Leslie Frazier may or may not be the permanent coach, but he sure could not be any worse. They could now go 3 and 3 and maybe 4 and 2 in the remaining games left. Still 6 and 10 or 7 and 9 would be a big letfown from last season. Looks like Favre is really going to make his last stand. And I really am a Favre the quarterback fan. But he is at the finish line of the end of his career, and closing faster each game. And whether Jackson is the answer or not, probably not, we need a quarterback for the future. And that should have been happening during this season. Getting Vick would be a good idea, and there are some decent quarterbacks upcoming in the draft. What happened to Joe Webb? Again time for healing. The most stable position now appears to be running back. Peterson and Gerhart are going to be a good combo next season. At wide receiver Harvin is a great athelete that should be utilized more. And we know how the loss of Rice has affected Favre, but how will the loss of Favre affect Rice? On the OL I am thinking half of the problem was coaching, but they need more depth in case it was not. You could not convince anyone from the stats that this is one of the best DL's in the league. And part of the blame is the poor offense and the other part the poor coaching. The defense should be fine, except for help at DB. But overall it is a new starting point now, a time to prepare for the future of this team, and heal the many wounds left over.
