PODCAST: The Doddcast - Mar. 8

Posted by Tom Fornelli

Is J. Darin Darst crazy? Plenty of emailers seem to think so, and that's just one of the topics discussed on the latest episode of The Doddcast. Dennis Dodd joins Darst and Adam Aizer to talk about the latest news in the movement toward a college football playoff, and discuss Temple's move/return to the Big East.

The boys can't escape March Madness, either, as some college basketball talk makes its way into the episode as well.

PODCAST: Wrapping up the ACC and Big East

Posted by Chip Patterson

It must be the holiday season, because Adam Aizer and I are in the giving sprit and delivering two conference wrap-up podcasts for the price of one. In this edition of the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast, Adam and I put a bow on the regular season in the ACC and the Big East and break down the best and worst of both conferences.

Pleasant surprises, biggest disappointments, conference awards and the best games of the season. What worked well for Mike London in his second year at Virginia? What didn't work well for Todd Graham at Pittsburgh and Randy Edsall at Maryland? We run down each team in the ACC and Big East and tell you what worked and what didn't in 2011.

PODCAST: Coach of the Year, Week 13 upset alerts

Posted by Chip Patterson

As the season winds down, some of the most popular topics of discussion in college football revolve around head coaches. In this edition of the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast, I sit down with Adam Aizer to preview the holiday weekend ahead and talk about the best of the best when it comes to head coaches in 2011. Is Bill Snyder the frontrunner for his revival in Manhattan? Or do coaches like Les Miles and Lane Kiffin deserve extra consideration for all they have overcome this season.

We also discuss the status of the North Carolina job, currently being held by interim head coach Everett Withers. The school recently made the official posting of the job position, and Adam and I run down some of the popular names associated with the opening. We also take some listener questions, tackling Utah's first season in the Pac-12 and why people hate on the SEC.

PODCAST: The Doddcast - Week 13

Posted by Tom Fornelli

After correctly picking Baylor and Virginia last week, Dennis Dodd is back on the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast with Adam Aizer to preview the Arkansas-LSU game and look at the major stories around the nation. Rich Rodriguez to Arizona, Urban Meyer closing in on the Ohio State job, Miami and Ohio State taking different approaches to Bowl Season and much more. Was Boise State penalized too severely for its loss against TCU? Will Dodd be watching Texas-Texas A&M or 49ers-Ravens Thursday night?

Posted by Tom Fornelli

With everything going on at Penn State this week, Scranton Times-Tribune Penn State beat writer Donnie Collins joins Adam Aizer on the newest episode of the CBSSports.com College Fooball Podcast. Donnie talks about Joe Paterno, Mike McQueary, how the locals feel about Joe Paterno at the moment, and what the future of Penn State football holds.

The Eye On College Football blog's own Jerry Hinnen also joins Adam to talk about Thursday night's games, and what, if anything, can Georgia and Arkansas do to derail the LSU train in the SEC.

PODCAST: On FSU, Big East-West, and Oregon QBs

Posted by Chip Patterson

When Florida State and Boston College were scheduled to play in primetime on Sunday night, it was likely assumed the Seminoles would be in contention for an ACC title and a Eagles squad led by Montel Harris would be ready to pull the upset in Chestnut Hill. But the 38-7 dominating victory by a 6-3 Florida State team was far from must-see television.  Adam Aizer and I discuss the Seminoles and Eagles, who appear to be headed in opposite directions, on Friday's CBSSports.com College Football Podcast.

With the win, FSU extends their 30-season streak of bowl eligibility. With the loss, Boston College ends a 12-year postseason run. We discuss the job security of several ACC coaches, along with a debate on the nation's worst one-loss team. Oregon head coach Chip Kelly (the "other" Chip) says there is no quarterback controversy in Eugene, but his definition seems to differ from Adam's.

Tune in to hear all of these topics, plus our Week 10 game picks and a quick preview of the possible Big East-West on this sunrise edition of the podcast.

We took a look at the Big 12 at the midseason point, talked about UCLA and Rick Neuheisel, and also went over suspensions at Michigan State and LSU. We even talked some Conference USA action while discussing how embarrassing UCF's loss to UAB on Thursday night was.

PODCAST: Big 12 Season Preview

Posted by Tom Fornelli

As part of CBSSports.com's Big 12 preview I took some time off from the realignment madness to sit down with Adam Aizer and talk about what we can actually expect to see on the field in the Big 12 this season. We talked about whether or not Oklahoma has what it takes to hold on to its current spot atop the polls, whether or not Oklahoma State and Texas A&M will live up to expectations, and about potential sleepers in the conference (good news for you Missouri and Kansas State fans).

So take some time out of your day to give it a listen, won't you?
