Sunday morning brought tragic news to the Southern Mississippi football program, with a report that three players have been shot and hospitalized, listed in critical condition. WDAM, a local television station in Mississippi, is reporting that three players were shot at Remington's Hunt Club in Hattiesburg early Sunday morning. The altercation took place around 1:20 a.m. outside the club where one person opened fire, injuring three. While Southern Miss has declined to comment for the moment, sources have confirmed to the station that the victims are USM players, and they are in critical condition. Head coach Larry Fedora, staff, and team members have all been seen at the hospital since early Sunday morning. Local authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families, we will continue to update this story as it develops.
