PODCAST: The Doddcast, Week 10

Posted by Chip Patterson

A surprise to some, but there is plenty going on in college football during this week outside of LSU-Alabama. Senior College Football Columnist Dennis Dodd sits down with Adam Aizer to discuss breakdown the landscape in the Week 10 Doddcast.

Has Houston quarterback Case Keenum made himself a Heisman contender in his record-setting sixth year? What is going on with Miami and Al Golden's contract? Dodd also weighs in the job opening at Tulane and a performance review for Big East Commissioner John Marinatto. Don't worry SEC fans, there is LSU-Alabama talk as well.

PODCAST: Week Nine Review

Posted by Chip Patterson

The list of undefeated teams continues to shrink as conference play delivers another weekend of upsets and memorable finishes. Adam Aizer and J. Darin Darst run down the biggest stories from the week that was in the Week Nine Review.

It was a wild weekend in the Big 12, with Oklahoma State putting up video game numbers (again) and Missouri pulling off a road upset in overtime. Speaking of overtime, Andrew Luck needed three of them to lead the Cardinal to victory against USC in the Coliseum. Adam and Darin discuss what we can take away from watching how Stanford responded to the challenge from the Trojans. They also break down some of the more surprising one loss teams in college football - as in, how have these teams not lost a second game. Tune in to hear if your favorite team made the list. Catch up on all the action you missed in this edition of the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast.

DODDCAST: Talking NCAA changes and NCAA records

Posted by Chip Patterson

In this week's edition of the Doddcast, Dennis Dodd and Adam Aizer review Miami's first home loss ever on a Thursday, and credit Mike London for the recent success at Virginia. History was also made in Houston, with Case Keenum breaking Graham Harrell's career touchdown record in a nine-touchdown performance against Rice. Dodd breaks down the NCAA reforms approved this week, discuss Kansas State's chances against Oklahoma, and the crazy state of SEC/Big 12/SEC/Big 12 Missouri.

Nothing is off limits this week as Dodd, an admitted die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, even weighs in on the historic Game 6 Thursday night. They also answer some listener emails, so be sure to submit your question to podcast [at] cbsinteractive [dot] com

PODCAST: Week Nine Preview

Posted by Chip Patterson

Last weekend provided some clarity in the national title picture, with two more unbeaten teams falling late Saturday evening. Now Week Nine features several road teams favored to win, which means there is always a chance for an upset - particularly in conference play. Stanford's new status as title contender will be challenged immediately with a trip to face USC in the Coliseum, Clemson also goes on the road to take on a reeling Georgia Tech squad looking to bounce back, and Kansas State will get a visit from the one-loss Oklahoma Sooners.

Adam Aizer and J. Darin Darst also preview the Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, and make some points about the Georgia defense you might not have considered. West Virginia also looks to bounce back from their first conference loss in a trip to face Rutgers, and Michigan returns to the field after a bye week to take on Purdue. Preview all of these games and more in this edition of the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast.

PODCAST: West Virginia, Big 12, Heisman and more

Posted by Chip Patterson

Realignment moves at a rapid pace, and just when everything calms is usually when there is about be another new development. In this edition of the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast, I join Adam Aizer and J. Darin Darst to discuss West Virginia's reported move to the Big 12, the narrowing Heisman race, and we engage in a heated debate over paying players in the midst of Mark Emmert's recent grant-in-aid proposal..

We also analyze several possible national championship scenarios, including what it would take for Boise State to finish No. 2 in the BCS standings and if a LSU-Alabama rematch is possible. Finally some reader questions get some answered, including apologies from Darst for calling Penn State an "average" team.
