In coordination with his midseason report, CBSSports.com's Dennis Dodd sits down with Adam Aizer to deliver his midseason superlatives. Best game, biggest surprise/disappointment, offensive AND defensive Heisman, and much more. Also, Adam explains why he thinks the Honeybadger Tyrann Mathieu is NOT the premiere defensive player in college football. Check out all that, plus the Top Five teams in the land and a Auburn-LSU preview on this week's Doddcast.

In this edition of the Free Bruce Podcast, CBSSports.com senior writer Bruce Feldman sits down with our Bryan Fischer to talk about some of college football's most pressing topics at midseason: how Oregon shrugs off injury after injury, Stanford's domination, Jacory Harris's stunning improvement, Trent Richardson's jaw-dropping Ole Miss performance, and more.
And all of that is just prelude to this week's podcast guest: Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione, who offers his insight into conference realignment and what the Big 12's future will hold, how you go about hiring a Bob Stoops, and what unique challenges lie ahead for a team ranked No. 1 in the country.

Eye on College Football Big Ten Blogger Adam Jacobi is this week's guest as two Big Ten unbeatens play tough games this week. Does the Big Ten deserve more respect? Will Michigan and Illinois keep winning? Will Wisconsin have a good shot at the National Championship? We also recap USC's Thursday night win and debate if this season has been disappointing so far. No big upsets, no crazy weekends, but hey, it's still college football.

It's been another big week behind the scenes at the Big East as the league attempts to rebuild in the wake of Syracuse, Pitt and TCU's defections ... even as, as reported by CBSSports.com senior writer Brett McMurphy, its individual members prepare for a full-on scramble to the lifeboats. In this edition of the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast, McMurphy talks with Adam Aizer about the league's plans for expansion, its hopes of keeping current members in the boat, divisional splits, and much more outside the Big East: Texas and Oklahoma State, Steve Spurrier's media brouhaha, the Big Ten's Legends division race, hate mail, etc.

While there isn't exactly a marquee matchup on the schedule this weekend like we've had the last few weeks, that doesn't mean there isn't plenty of interesting games to keep an eye on. In this week's preview, the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast wonders whether Michigan, Illinois or Kansas State will be the surprise unbeaten that finally falls. Adam Aizer and J. Darin Darst also wonder if Arizona State and Wake Forest can pull off a couple upsets, whether Texas has a chance against Oklahoma State, and even an important Conference USA matchup. All that and more, so give it a listen.

CBSSports.com senior college football writer Dennis Dodd didn't come back from Dallas having seen a classic--but he did come back with an opinion on Oklahoma's national title credentials (and fried gum). In this edition of the Doddcast, Dodd joins Adam Aizer for a look back at the Red River Rivalry, a look forward to Week 7's Michigan-Michigan State clash, what's next for Missouri in conference realignment, the Heisman race, what that ... substance ... actually was on Texas A&M's buses, and more.

What should we take away from Oregon's Thursday night dismantling of Cal? How badly would an extended LaMichael James absence hurt the Ducks? Can Notre Dame remain independent as the Big East risks crumbling before our eyes? What are two games flying under the radar as we apporach Week 6? And if you're lucky enough to attend one of the games that isn't, the Red River Rivalry, what food should you sample at the Texas State Fair?
CBSSports.com's Adam Aizer and Bryan Fischer attempt to answer all of those questions and more in this edition of the CBSSports.com College Football Podcast. To listen, click below, download the mp3 or pop the player out in a separate broswer window. Want more? and Subscribe to the CFB podcast in iTunes by clicking here. Enjoy:
