The question is always being that the Knicks don't want to give up role players for Melo. Why trade for him if you can get him in FA? Why give up the talent if you don't have to. I do understand where the Knicks are coming from, but come on. Role players are replaceable. You can go out in FA and get them or trade for them. It does amaze me that the Knicks are not willing to take the risk. No guaranttee that Melo won't decide to sign that three year deal before the new CBA. He may be willing to give up x amount of dollars for the organization, but they won't give up role players for Melo? A guy like Melo is hard to find. He is a superstar and one of the best offensive players in the NBA. Would he instantly make an impact if he joined the Knicks? To me without a doubt he would which is why I still can't understand why they arn't willing to give up 2 or 3 role players for Melo. Knicks to me currently are just a playoff contender....not a championship contender. They get Melo they would be in a lot of folks opinions as a championship contender. How can you disagree with that? If I had an organization like the Knicks, I would trade for him without question. What would you rather have.....a championship now or later? Yea you could wait and have all these role players with Melo, but that isn't a promise. He still could sign a deal just for the fact he is leaving a lot of money on the table if he doesn't. Melo has been holding out of that contract all season for the Knicks. Can they do not do him a favor and trade for him? Get his paycheck he wants so he will be happy, your organization will be happy, Knick fans will be happy, and NBA fans in general will be happy cuz all the talk is over with. LOL! Everyone would benefit from this. Why take a risk on losing out on Melo for role players that are replaceable?
I just wanted to give my opinion on the Melo situation. Any comments on my opinion? What is your opinion on what Knicks should do?

Melo informed Nuggets he will not sign the deal that was on the table unless he is traded to the Knicks. He wants to a Knick. How many times have we heard that in the last decade. I think this might be one of the very few have said this with his star power anyway. How will Knicks pull this off? Ball is really in their court. Are the Nuggets not gonna trade him and get nothing. I don't think so personally. I think he is becoming more of a distraction to the Nuggets. Which the team really doesn't need right now. I'm sure Nugget fans are upset with his decision. I am as well as a Magic fan. I had hopes on the Magic getting him via trade. They have good pieces to make a trade more so than the Knicks or the Nets. Knicks will need a third team. Well at least Nuggets hope they get a third team involved to get what they want. Other than Amare their team is garbage. No offense to Felton. Knicks have exceeded expectations thus far. Knick fans should be very happy their team is finally winning basketball games. Which is a plus cuz of the famous arena they play in. Make some more history in it. Nuggets really have no choice in this. They trade him by the deadline which will be best for their team. He will only be a distraction. He may fake injuries to not play for the Nuggets if they don't. I highly doubt if they keep Melo they will win a championship anyways. I say get some value for Melo. Hope for your sake it isn't little. Hope Magic gets a scorer. Prefer a point guard that can also pass. In any case good luck to both Melo and the Nuggets. Been a good run....hope they arn't as bad as the Cavs are without their superstar. Surprised??Don't be......STAY JEALOUS!!!

This is obviously my predictions for the playoffs for 2010-11 Eastern Conference. I'll be unbiased here as I was in the Western Conference predictions.

Shoulda did this sooner, but really didn't have the time. In any case here is my 2010-11 Western Conference playoff seed predictions!!
1.LA Lakers-Best bench and arguably the best starting five in the league. They are more motivated than ever to make history. 12 NBA titles for Phil Jackson along with a 4th three peat of his coaching career. Kobe going for his sixth ring to tie in some fans opinions the best player to ever play the game Michael Jordan. LA Lakers to tie with most NBA championships won by a team with Boston at 17. So much history not to bank the number 1 seed. They are playing too well right now without Kobe being 100%. Which more than not now days he is injured. Bynum 100% won't matter!
2.OKC Thunder-To me the biggest threat to the reigning NBA champs to get back to the Finals. With Durant being consistant along with being so young I figure this team will be a force in the West and in the NBA years to come after Kobe hangs up his sneakers. The team plays some great defense and they are so unselfish. Maybe because they are young team, but I see great things with this team. I predict they face LA no matter if they are number 2 sometime in the playoffs.
3.New Orleans Hornets-I wouldn't have predicted them to be this high in my predictions til I saw them play....I did predict playoffs o on some post before the season began. If Paul is healthy I don't see why not. Okafor has got to stay consistant and play at the high level he has thus far in the season. Very impressed by his play thus far. Paul is my pick for MVP. Will he be in NO next year? It probably depends on their success in the playoffs.
4.Phoenix Suns-Very good ball team despite the departure of Amare. With Steve Nash playing at the high level as he is year after year I think they have a good chance of giving the Lakers a run like they did last year. Don't think they will knock them out of the playoffs, but will certainly make it a series.
5.SA Spurs-the team may be old, but they have the experience in the playoffs and winning championships. Jefferson acquistion didn't work out as well as one thought. In any case they are still a great basketball team that will have some success in the playoffs. Staying healthy will be key for this team. It could hurt their seed, but they are no push over by any means.
6.Dallas Mavericks-I think they are a bit over-rated. They were the top pick to upset the Lakers last season and of course it didn't happen. Don't think they will make a run in the playoffs. I rather believe they will end up with a disappointing season.
7.Portland Trailblazers-Very good ball team with Roy leading the way. Camby stays healthy I don't see why they can't make the playoffs. Like this young fast paced team.
8.Golden State Warriors-The surprise team to make the playoffs!! Curry and Ellis is a good combo. I figure Melo will be traded and an injury to a Jazz player will end their playoff chances. That is why Warriors will make the playoffs.
That is my 2010-11 Western Conference playoff seed predictions!! What are your predictions?

1.LA Lakers-starting 5 is arguably the best in the league today. Reigning NBA champs going for a 3peat. Bench is very strong this year.
2.Boston Celtics-starting 5 looks very strong......arguably the best starting 5 as well. Bench is still at question at this point. At least at the shooting guard/sf position. Like the additions of Shaq and Jermaine during the off-season. Perkins will be returning in February I believe.
3.OKC Thunder-Very good young and talented team. One of the favs to knock off LA. To me they are the best team in the West with the exception of the Lakers of course. Durant is one of the top candidates to win the MVP.
4.Miami Heat-2 superstars and the rest of role players. Medias fav to win the NBA championship.
5.Orlando Magic-Despite the loss to Miami I believe they can get back to form. Hopefully make a trade before the deadline. Hoping for Melo. Need a consistant scorer. Wouldn't be sad with CP3 either. Dwight Howard is improving his offensive game. Dominant on the defensive end looking for his 3rd straight defensive player of the year award.
