For Woodlawn (Ala.) High School linebacker Cassanova McKinzy, a longtime Auburn fan and a commitment since March 2011, it was probably going to take a lot for Clemson to change his mind on McKinzy's recent visit. But as you can hear approximately 1:45 into this video, Clemson didn't even have the one thing essential to McKinzy's forthcoming college experience: an easily accessible Chick-Fil-A:
Having once subsisted for an entire month on nothing but No. 1 combos (no pickle) his freshman year, this blogger can confirm that the proximity of the nearest Chick-Fil-A is, in fact, a much better method of determining college choice than, say, whether a school offers your major or not.
And it's not just McKinzy that's letting his stomach do his thinking for him: Georgia running back signee Todd Gurley raved about the UGA cafeteria experience at his commitment, saying "the food was just so good."
So have a laugh at McKinzy's comments if you must. (We kind of think that was the point.) But if you wind up reading about Lane Kiffin investing in a new In-N-Out franchise on the USC campus sometime between now and next Signing Day, don't act too surprised.
