Arizona State continues to pace the Pac-12 in picking up commitments and added another Thursday as Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) offensive lineman Dylan La Frenz.
"After I visited ASU in the spring, like April, I loved it and felt like it'd be a great place but was going to see who else offered," La Frenz told ASUDevils.com. "But then I realized it has everything that I wanted. The people there are so nice, it's like everyone says hello to you and walk up and talk to you like they've known you for years. And the school and football team are great."
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound La Frenz also held an offer from Arizona and was receiving attention from UCLA. He was not being heavily recruited by the Sun Devils until a spot in their class recently opened up and the coaching staff made a late push.
"I talked to coach (Gregg) Smith and he said I'd be a great addition to the team," the senior offensive tackle said. "He said I'm a good player and a great student with good grades and they won't have to worry about me getting into school. And he said he likes how I play hard and compete and move well for my size and can play either guard or center."
La Frenz is the 25th commitment for Dennis Erickson's class of 2012 and sixth offensive linemen to commit.
