Ohio State nabs another for its 2013 class

Posted by Tom Fornelli

At the rate Urban Meyer has been moving since taking over at Ohio State, I fully expect the Buckeyes will have put the finishing touches on their 2016 recruiting class by sometime in May of 2012. Although most schools will be signing off on their 2012 classes on Wednesday, Meyer and the Buckeyes have already picked up the second commitment of their 2013 class.

MaxPreps tells us that Ohio State has received a commitment from junior quarterback Jalin Marshall of Middletown, Ohio.

“It’s one of the biggest decisions of my life, and I feel like I made a great choice,” Marshall told the Middletown Journal. “It’s close to home, and it’s my childhood dream school. When they gave me the opportunity, I kind of knew where I wanted to go.”

Marshall is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound quarterback that was named co-Offensive Player of the Year in the Greater Miami Conference. He rushed for 1,859 yards, threw for 782 yards and scored a total of 26 touchdowns as a junior.

He joins cornerback Cam Burrows as the second member of Ohio State's 2013 class.
