LSU had a somewhat disappointing finish with their recruiting class on Signing Day but they're hoping that the class of 2013 starts and finishes with a bang. The group is already coming together, picking up commitments this past week from Slidell (La.) wide receiver Chuck Baker, Kentwood (La.) defensive back Jeremy Cutrer and Shreveport (La.) athlete Tre'Davious White.
"They all said LSU was a good place to play football," Cutrer told Tigerbait.net. "They have a good coaching staff, good players and a good place to be at, so I went with LSU."
The trio attended the Tigers' Junior Day over the weekend and though each did not have a ton of offers early in the recruiting process, all quickly and easily pledged to the in-state program.
"It's a dream come true," White said. "I'm just blessed to have this opportunity to be noticed by a football program. To get my college paid for -- the education part -- is the best thing ever."
LSU now has four class of 2013 commitments after signing the country's 13th-ranked class last week.
