3/14 Recruiting Roundup

Posted by Bryan Fischer

Not a ton of links today, I think there's some basketball thing that is taking up everybody's time.

- Quarterback Mike Tamburo is transferring to Georgia from Boise State.

- 2013 quarterback Kevin Anderson was one of the standouts at the Elite 11 this past weekend and he was glad to get the attention.

- Abram Elam, a safety for the Cleveland Browns, thinks Palm Beach Country is the fastest in the country. Based on the NFLers in the article, he may not be far off.

- FoxSports.com has more on the issue of street agents and 7-on-7 tournaments. Part one is on reputed street agent Will Lyles; part two on the recruitment of Oregon running back Lache Seastrunk; part three on 7-on-7 tournaments and part four on the long and winding road of tight end Chis Barnett.

Dodd: Recruiting may be headed down a dark alley

Posted by Bryan Fischer

Street agents, Oregon and 7-on-7 camps are the talk of college football following reports of the school paying a scouting service $25,000 shortly after signing five-star running back Lache Seastrunk.

CBSSports.com columnist Dennis Dodd takes a look at the recruiting world in his latest column and why the NCAA is gathering information as part of a new initiative. Well worth the read as recruiting could be headed down a dark alley with so many shady figures starting to pop up around high profile players.
