21 OL D.J. Humphries A- The Gators put together a really good class that should boost numbers and talent but it will be remembered for a few of the misses.
- Team page
- Commitment list
19 OL John Theus B It's not the dream team but it could still be considered one of the better classes in the conference with what they did at RB and on defense.
- Team page
- Commitment list
26 QB Patrick Towles C A good quarterback helps but there are a few questionable recruits in the group next to some others that could develop into solid SEC players.
- Team page
- Commitment list
17 WR Dorial Green-Beckham B+ The nation's leading passer and the #1 overall recruit will earn you a good grade but it's not a very deep and talented class otherwise.
- Team page
- Commitment list
24 WR Shaq Roland B Yet again the Old Ball Coach lands the top recruit in the state and does some very nice things in Georgia, such as landing Mike Davis (a great fit for that offense).
- Team page
- Commitment list
21 DB LaDarrell McNeil B- A few late decommits took some luster off but a good class nevertheless. They certainly added some offensive weapons but didn't grab an impact defender.
- Team page
- Commitment list
23 RB Brian Kimbrow A Best recruiting class in school history and win some head-to-head battles against some big name schools? Impressive. It's not the most talented when compared to others but a great job by the staff in 2012.
West Division Commits Top Players Notes

- Commitment list
28 DB Landon Collins A+ One national title in January, one in February. This might be one of the most talented recruiting classes Nick Saban has brought in.
- Team page
- Commitment list
21 RB Jonathan Williams C+ The Razorbacks figured to have a better class but it's just ok. Striking out on DGB hurt but they still filled needs at the spot and added a good RB in Williams if he can stay healthy.
- Team page
- Commitment list
20 OL Avery Young B This is the best OL class in the SEC with some tremendous talent there. The skill position players are very good but there's no doubt the Tigers missed out on a few guys.
- Team page
- Commitment list
22 WR Avery Johnson B- It's hard for a top 15 class to be disappointing but that's what this one was for LSU after some very notable defections on the lead up to Signing Day.
- Team page
- Commitment list
19 DE Channing Ward B- Pretty good class on short notice, a lot of the recruits will play early and often in talent-deprived Ole Miss.
- Team page
- Commitment list
27 DL Denico Autry B- It wasn't a great class outside of the defensive line but that looks like it will be the strength of the team down the road with this group.
- Team page
- Commitment list
20 RB Trey Williams B+ It was an up-and-down ride to Signing Day but the Aggies got better and added talent that will certainly help them on offense in addition to a few guys giving a little boost on defense.

24. Washington 25 1

North Division Commits Top Players Notes

- Commitment list
15 QB Zach Kline B- Though they don't land a lot of the highly regarded guys they could have with Tosh Lupoi still around, the Bears bring in some great pieces that can leave a lasting impact on the program.
- Team page
- Commitment list
21 DL Arik Armstead A- Chip Kelly's near departure to the NFL didn't end up costing the Ducks a bit class and even landed a big fish from the state of California for the second year in a row.
- Team page
- Commitment list
20 OL Isaac Seumalo B+ This might not be a highly regarded class by some but it has some tremendous pick ups and might be one of the best groups of talent headed to Corvallis in a while.
- Team page
- Commitment list
21 OL Andrus Peat A+ When was the last time you talked about Stanford on Signing Day? Now the Cardinal are landing top 10 classes and bringing in what appears to be the best OL class in recent memory.
- Team page
- Commitment list
25 DB Shaq Thompson B+ It got a little dicey with Cyler Miles but adding him and Jeff Lindquist is a great one-two punch at QB and there's plenty of other top talent headed to Seattle as well, including elite guys like Thompson.
- Team page
- Commitment list
23 WR Gabriel Marks B- All things considered, this was a solid first effort for Mike Leach and company, picking up several solid offensive weapons and some key Juco guys.
South Division Commits Top Players Notes
- Team page
- Commitment list
25 LB C.J. Dozier B- It looked a little shaky but closed strong and there are some solid guys that fit the systems RichRod is looking to run.
- Team page
- Commitment list
25 RB D.J. Foster B- It's not blow you away good but there's some guys that will come in and get some minutes right away.
- Team page
- Commitment list
29 DB Yuri Wright B+ There's some recruits in the Buff's 2012 class that will no doubt be expected to contribute early. There's not only some surprising talent coming in but some depth too.
- Team page
- Commitment list
25 DT Ellis McCarthy A- Big time defensive tackles seem to be a dime a dozen and landing McCarthy is a huge get for new coach Jim Mora. There's plenty of talent coming in several different positions too.
- Team page
- Commitment list
15 ATH Nelson Agholor A Though the Trojans missed on a few offensive line targets late that would have made this a top five class despite the numbers, it's still a great effort with impact players and some who add depth.
- Team page
- Commitment list
28 QB Travis Wilson B This is really the first class that the move to the Pac-12 is a big draw and it's paid off with some pretty good recruits from the tradition talent bases for the school.

23 DE Javonte Magee B Call it the RGIII bounce but Baylor definitely improved upon what they've been doing on the recruiting trail, landing the talented Magee and several athletes that will improve the overall team speed.
- Team page
- Commitment list
21 QB Grant Rohach C This is a pretty tall group coming in that is heavy on the lines and at wide out but the marquee guy is Rohach. There are a few underrated players here but it's not what you'd call a special class.
- Team page
- Commitment list
16 DB Greg Allen F Well, Charlie Weis, you're in Kansas and not South Bend or Gainesville. This year was a recruiting class well below average and might not add much at all unless you count transfer quarterbacks Dayne Crist and Jake Heaps.
- Team page
- Commitment list
26 WR Marquez Clark C+ Not many of these guys, outside of the Jucos, are expected to play much early on but a decent effort this year for the Wildcats.
- Team page
- Commitment list
24 WR Durron Neal A- They addressed the big need at wide receiver and brought in several other nice pieces on offense. This wasn't a class that drew on Texas for talent but was really all over the map but still pulled in a top 10 class.
- Team page
- Commitment list
22 QB Wes Lunt B The Cowboys aren't quite at the point where they're competing for elite talent on the recruiting trail yet but they're doing a great job of grabbing kids that will fit in their system on both sides of the ball.
- Team page
- Commitment list
23 QB Tyler Matthews B This could have been in 'A' territory had they managed to keep a few kids but it's still a very good effort for the first class they're able to sell playing in the Big 12.
- Team page
- Commitment list
28 RB Johnathan Gray A+ Once again, the Longhorns swept the elite in-state talent and landed the top RB in the country. They also grabbed some elite and underrated defenders to complete one of the better classes under Mack Brown.
- Team page
- Commitment list
26 WR Dominique Wheeler B This is actually a pretty underrated class and the amount of Jucos is certainly interesting but when you consider needs, understandable.

24 RB Greg Garmon B- You're not blown away with this group but guys like Garmon will come in and play early. It's just not a deep class but some of the guys at the top are very nice grabs for the Hawkeyes.
- Team page
- Commitment list
24 DB Terry Richardson A The Wolverines accomplished the two big things you want in bringing in guys that will add depth on top of several that will play right away. The defensive guys in particular looks like they're great fits in Greg Mattison's system and the OL group might be the best in the conference.
- Team page
- Commitment list
18 WR Aaron Burbridge B It lost its luster down the stretch with a notable decommit but this is a sneaky good class. Don't sleep on Tyler O'Connor taking over under center before too long.
- Team page
- Commitment list
29 QB Phillip Nelson C+ An interesting mix of guys in this class between Jucos that are hoping to come in and play right away and other players who might need a few years. Nelson could challenge for the starting QB spot early.
- Team page
- Commitment list
17 WR Jordan Westerkamp C Perhaps this was the first year where not playing in Texas hurt the Cornhuskers (despite two commits from there) because they appeared to be all over the map. Losing Andrus Peat, with his brother on the team, hurt.
- Team page
- Commitment list
21 DE Ifeadi Odenigbo B+ It's not too often the Wildcats are landing some high-end talent like Odenigbo or Malin Jones so kudos to the staff for identifying guys that fit the school well and can play.
Leaders Division Commits Top Players Grade
- Team page
- Commitment list
21 DB TaJarvis Fuller C- The group held up surprisingly well considering the coaching turnover but it's not a particularly good group outside of a handful of guys. It's just a very average class.
- Team page
- Commitment list
24 LB Jacarri Alexander D It's not just losing Gunner Kiel but the lack of landing some immediate playmakers.
- Team page
- Commitment list
24 DE Noah Spence A+ There's a great argument to be made about this being the best DL group in 2012. Don't sleep on the offensive guys coming in for spot duty like Bri'onte Dunn either.
- Team page
- Commitment list
19 TE Jesse James D+ Let's face it, this wasn't going to be a great class given all that has happened in State College. James is a nice player and Jamil Pollard is a Big Ten player but just hit the reset button this group.
- Team page
- Commitment list
26 QB Austin Appleby C There were a few surprising gets in this class but nobody outside of Appleby that screamed that the Boilermakers did a great job.
- Team page
- Commitment list
11 LB Vince Biegel B The numbers hold back this class from a higher grade but there's definitely some quality players. More than that, each guy is a great fit for the offense/defense that the Badgers run.

15 LB Steven Daniels C- Small and without a big time athlete, this class is lacking quite a bit. If you're looking for an impact player, look at others.
- Team page
- Commitment list
21 DB Travis Blanks B+ It was a relatively quiet day for the Tigers but they still reeled in a very good class. There are a few guys who will redshirt and wait their turn but also a few like Blanks who will play right away.
- Team page
- Commitment list
23 DE Mario Edwards Jr. A+ As much as people talk about Stanford's OL class, they should also be discussing the FSU DL class with both ends and tackles forming an imposing bunch. Jameis Winston, if he doesn't go to the MLB Draft, is a quarterback who could be special if he utilizes all his talent.
- Team page
- Commitment list
24 RB Wes Brown B- Mike Locksley was supposed to grab some high profile talent but outside of Brown, there's not a ton of guys. Solid? Yes. But not impact guys and only a handful who should play early.
- Team page
- Commitment list
23 DE Kenderius Whitehead B- It's actually kind of impressive that the Wolfpack didn't land one top in-state guy. They still put together a decent class but missing on talent close to home with your rival in a state of flux isn't a good thing.
- Team page
- Commitment list
19 QB Tyler Cameron C+ Because so many will redshirt, it will be awhile before we really know how this class will turn out but adding Cameron is a big pick up because after that it's a lot of under the radar guys that may grow into the system there.
Coastal Division Commits Top Players Notes
- Team page
- Commitment list
18 RB Shaquille Powell B This looks like one of Duke's better classes in recent year with a few recruits who went a bit under the radar but are just plain old good football players.
- Team page
- Commitment list
16 QB Justin Thomas C+ There were several players who the Yellow Jackets whiffed on and they simply didn't go a great job of capitalizing on the deep talent base in the state this year.
- Team page
- Commitment list
33 RB Randy 'Duke' Johnson A- The 2012 group will be remembered for picking the Hurricanes despite the NCAA cloud hanging over the program. There are some guys that aren't truly Miami-level guys but also plenty of impact players who should see lots of playing time as freshmen.
- Team page
- Commitment list
23 OL J.J. Patterson B All things considered - a staff change and looming NCAA report - this was a good class. It's not deep but you can tell there are some nice players like Patterson. Losing a quarterback late hurts though.
- Team page
- Commitment list
25 DE Eli Harold A- Relative to what Virginia recruiting has been, this is a terrific class. Mike London really made in-roads in the Tidewater and has several guys on defense that have a nice blend of speed and size to develop into big time players.
- Team page
- Commitment list
28 ATH Joel Caleb B+ Landing a talented athlete like Caleb on Signing Day is a big boost. There a lot of speed in this class and a healthy handful of guys who will take some time to develop in addition to guys like Caleb and Drew Harris, who will play early.

29 QB Bennie Coney B- The class is very solid and brings in plenty of skill position talent on both sides of the ball but they missed out on speedy scat back Dennis Norfleet at the last minute to Michigan
- Team page
- Commitment list
25 QB Casey Cochran C There's not a whole lot to remark on the Huskies class other than they added a strong-armed but small quarterback in Cochran and a little bit of speed at wide out.
- Team page
- Commitment list
24 LB Nick Dawson B+ The trio of top linebackers Charlie Strong grabbed are the headliners but don't sleep on the depth that both lines will have.
- Team page
- Commitment list
16 RB Rushel Shell B+ Keeping the big time offensive guys in the fold after the coaching staff change is a huge win for Paul Chryst. Landing a local LB like Deaysean Rippy is an added bonus for a small class.
- Team page
- Commitment list
20 DE Darius Hamilton A One of the big surprises on Signing Day was the ability of Kyle Flood and his staff to keep the class intact after Greg Schiano left. Not only that, they are bringing in impact players from a talented crop of local athletes.
- Team page
- Commitment list
19 TE Sean Price B There were three elite guys in this class that bigger programs coveted but the staff kept in the fold. Chris Bivins and Sean Price could play early and often for the Bulls.
- Team page
- Commitment list
23 TE Ron Thompson C- There's really not much to say other than the Orange didn't capitalize on their good season a year ago and turn that into recruiting success.
- Team page
- Commitment list
27 WR Deontay McManus B The coaching staff is really happy with this group and you can see why when you look up and down to see speed among the skill position players and a talented QB. McManus should have an impact early if he can learn the playbook.
