2012 Running back grabs Missouri offer

Posted by Bryan Fischer

With the class of 2011 (well, most of it) signed, coaches are already turning their recruiting focus to the class of 2012.

Allen (Tex.) running back Jonathan Williams, one of the top players in the state, is already starting to receive major BCS conference interest. Missouri is the latest school to show interest, offering him a verbal scholarship this afternoon.

New NCAA rules prevent juniors from receiving written scholarship offers but they are allowed to receive verbal offers. A student-athlete may receive a written offer after August 1st of their senior season.

Williams rushed for over 2,000 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior.
