New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers: Steelers 24 Jets 17

The Jets won't be able to use their "ground and pound" style this Sunday. The Steelers have the best run defense in the league, only giving up an average of 62.8 yards per game. Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer will need to find ways to convert on third and long. The only way this works: Mark Sanchez plays a perfect game. Although the young qb has an impressive track record in the postseason thus far in his career, this is Heinz Field, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dick LeBeau, James Harrison, and most importantly, Troy Polamalu. Expect the former USC Trojan to be running at full speed on Sunday. With his achilles nearly fully healed, he will have no trouble sabotaging the Jets offensive attack. Mike Wallace may be stuck on Revis Island, but I like Big Ben to move the chains with Heath Miller, Emmanuel Sanders, and Antonio Brown. However, the real matchup in this game is a familiar one: Dick LeBeau against Rex Ryan. Who will devise the more effective pressure schemes? Coach Ryan may be the most popular in the NFL right now, but I'm going with the old man. Coach LeBeauwill surely have some tricks up his sleeve for Mr. Sanchez. and Oh yeah, expect Santonio Holmes to get hit, and get hit hard; especially if he does his trademark first down celebration.
