HEY CBS... BILLY PACKER IS AN IDIOT

I really wanted to vent that for some reason. Just if you have not clued into the fact that the

ENTIRE

fan world of college basketball absolutely can not stand him. He really does not contribute anything to the commentary of the game, except taking up valuable space at a game.

In case you did not catch that, let me say it again...

HEY CBS, BILLY PACKER IS AN IDIOT...

Okay, I am finished now.

How refreshing it is...

to be rid of that dag gone rat king avatar. Oh that was a long week! The only way I really got through the week was every time I posted, or looked at the picture, I either said he's holding a TU TU or posted that...

Got to spread that love for d harmony (rofl) that dook love that they have or the bench is SOMETHING special there. I hear rat can hug ya something sweet!

Man oh man, I was starting to feel evil entering my body, sporting the avatar of the leader of the Evil Empire. Like I was the Empress of the Evil Empire myself. Snapping at people and not being so dook is nice like I normally am...oh how evil that experience was. Much rather would sport an avatar of the rat king, looking like a rat holding his cheese...

I think I have changed my avatar like fifteen times since Thursday morning at 12:10 am, just because I can...it's so dang liberating!

Avatar Bets

<-------- THIS is the RESULT of a FAILED avatar bet.

I must carry this for a week....counting the days down. I bet Tribe on the CBB boards. We also have a bet for the game at Cameron and if Carolina and dook should meet in the ACC tourney, if they do, then the loser must fly the avi for two weeks instead of one. I think he went easy on me.

I lost fair and square, but I must admit, this is much better than Josh's bikini man he is flying for another week (thanks OKA) you could have gone with the dreamy Tom Brady I suggested or the Golden Girls picture...or even Richard Simmons...anything would have been better.

Originally I made an avi bet with someone else, at the end of last season. She went mia from the boards for months and posted maybe once or twice never reconfirming the bet, and came on to collect the bet. My question is do you think I was wrong making another bet with someone else when the original be looked to be lost? I made this wager with the second person over a month or so ago, and it was actually more fun with him, as we were talking smack here recently.

What is your take?

Oh and OKA, I will never take an avi bet with you, you tend to punish the board...

Best rivalry in all of College Basketball!!!

Round one of the BEST dang rivalry in all of college basketball is taking place in Chapel Hill next weekend. dook is traveling fifteen minutes down the road to challenge one of the top team's in the country in conference play. Hope their bus driver does not get lost...

You college basketball fan's out there that are other team's always argue that this is NOT the greatest rivalry in all of college basketball, well I am here to tell you that you are wrong, dead wrong! Here in North Carolina we wait for this day, talk about it off and on all year long. These games get television coverage on every national venue. There is no bigger rivalry. You can whine and complain all you like, please, spare me. dook and Carolina, have it all against y'all. The school's are a mere fifteen minutes distance apart on 15-501. Even if the bus did break down, the players would still make the game. Carolina fans smell the stench coming from Durham and vice-versa.

This is a love hate rivalry. For me, I love to banter with my dook fans, give them crap as much as I can, and well I expect the same from them. We have fun year round, razzing each other and reminiscing. But with most of our fans, there is a little something different that underlies this rivalry, it is the simple respect for the rivalry, yes some do take it too far...but for most of us, we take the rivalry in the spirit in which it is intended...

Now, for dook's take on the game...Psycho T is going to have some REVENGE for his nose getting busted...and the evil player he knows who he is, plays for the rat king's evil empire...better tread lightly Sunday!!!!!!!

GO Tar Heels! beat dook!

Finally!!!!! SOME Justice for Jason Ray (RIP)

For almost a year, the family of Jason Ray, the UNC mascot Ramses that was tragically killed has come to terms with his death. He was the victim of an accident where as a pedestrian hit by a vehicle, no charges were filed at the time. Today, a father and son were charged.

The driver is facing up to five years in prison, while the passenger is facing up to 18 months in prison, not enough in my book.

Jason was an organ donor, and what a wonderful gift he gave, he saved many lives. ESPN did a feature on the people that were recipients of his organs this past fall, when the met with his parents.

Finally justice for you Jason, you were such a wonderful person! RIP Jason, always a Tar Heel!

Best CBB Conference ACC vs Big East?

I am an ACC gal, always have been always will be. I grew up in the 'burbs of Baltimore, Maryland as one of the sole North Carolina fans. In high school, this 5'3" (well I was 5'4") chick played basketball, was actually the  point guard...but always seemingly got into foul trouble for retaliatory fouls. Coach would always point out someone...and enlist me to  get 'em, and then yell at me for getting caught. Well I seemed to have digressed here a bit, I was buddies with all the guys on the basketball team as well, so my buddies were mostly Maryland, some Virginia, some West Virginia and of course some Georgetown fans. Now that I think about it, surprisingly, no dook fans, interesting.

We would all sport our team gear, which consisted of sweat suits, lots of hoodie sweatshirts, and of course a satin jacket. The razzing commenced at the beginning of the season and continued all the way through the end. We would sport those satin jackets all day long too (any child of the 80's knows exactly to what I am referring to). It was a must to wear your gear the day of or before a game as well of as after if they won in celebratory fashion.  The razzing and taunting mostly went on between myself and the Maryland fans as well as one Georgetown fan. Those were the days...

A lot of people will argue, which of these two conferences is better, ACC or Big East. Honestly, they are the best two, have both staked their claim on this many years ago. However, it does fluctuate from year to year which conference is better. Both conferences are fantastic and have excellent programs that facilitate exciting basketball. Growing up in the area in which I did, you or I do at least appreciate great basketball, and must say other conferences do not have anything on the ACC or the Big East. I lived in Huntsville, AL for four years, and was stuck watching SEC basketball coverage...yawn, I was excited to pick up an East Coast game whenever I could. Sorry, West Coast, y'all ain't got anything on these two conferences.

Who does dook think is the best conference? The ACC of course!!!! Silly question...
