Papi remains at the top, but there are some struggling aces on the list: Oswalt, Liriano, Peavy. Reyes and Rollins are getting outscored by Marco Scutaro by a wide, wide margin. What’s the dealio? Vladdy hasn’t looked that great. Is he toast?

Nolan Reimold is further down the list... He and Luke Scott got hot. Bastardo was hot in Double-A, made two Triple-A starts and went right to the Phillies rotation. J.A. Happ is also getting picked up in many leagues. Clayton Richard didn’t get traded and is doing well with the White Sox.

Myers is likely out for the season, at least the Fantasy season... Napoli cooled off and lost DH at-bats because of Vladdy’s return. Willis and Carmona are proving too erratic to trust.

Video notes for the Pitching Planner

-- What are the Red Sox going to do? They have 5 decent veterans in the rotation, Masterson in the bullpen and two elite prospects lights-out in Triple-A... and oh yeah, John Smoltz is back June 16 vs. the Marlins.
-- THE HOLIDAY INN CHANGE OF THE WEEK: Speaking of too many starters... Emack you told us to hold on to Chien-Ming Wang and now he's a worthless middle reliever. What gives?
-- David Price is here and struggled... what happened to the dominant elite prospect?
-- Where the heck is Tommy Hanson?

Must-start two-start pitcher (Your Ervin Santana pick blew up on us... don't get this wrong again!)
Gavin Floyd CHW

I like Cuddyer’s revival. Zobrist’s bat and full-time role. Porcello’s surprising consistency as a rookie. D-Train back on track. And Mets calling up 20-year-old prospect F-Mart.

Also... just out of the top 10 most-added... Gary Friggin Sheffield.

A lot of these are functions of injuries or demotions. We haven’t heard the last from Nolasco, LaPorta or Hochevar, though.

Ian Stewart is getting dropped in a lot of leagues too ... from 66 percent to now 55, but it is merely a function of a cold stretch. This elite young hitter is going to get hot again.

It is the same cast of disappointments it has been for weeks. The Red Sox are losing faith in Big Papi, so we finally are (stubbornly), too. Sizemore, Rollins, Beckett and Oswalt are good buy-low guys. ... Interestingly, Jake Peavy and Roy Oswalt are on the MLB Rumor Mill and the Fantasy most-traded list.

Emack's Hot List/Emack's Not List

Video notes for the Fantasy Matchup

Emack's hot list

1. Joe Mauer

2. Michael Cuddyer

3. Ben Zobrist

4. Nelson Cruz

5. Justin Verlander

Red-hot Twins... Mauer Power, Cuddyer no longer a dier ... Zobrist in for Aki, Cruz and Verlander and breakouts (well, one rebreakout)

Honorable mentions: Chris Carpenter, Phil Hughes, Dontrelle Willis, Brandon McCarthy, Gavin Floyd

Carpenter is an ace all over again, Hughes makes tough decision on Yanks, D-Train is back on track, B-Mac is leading upstart Rangers ... and Floyd rebounds

Emack's not list

1. Ricky Nolasco

2. David Ortiz

3. Francisco Liriano

4. Fausto Carmona

5. Chris Davis

Nolasco, Emack’s bust pick, down in minors... Papi down on bench and down in order... Liriano and Carmona have seen better days... Davis is hitting homers but little else.

Dishonorable mentions: Rays bullpen, Troy Percival and Jason Isringhausen, Scott Kazmir, Matt Harrison, Chris B. Young, Travis Snider

Rays bring up Price... maybe he should close? ... Kazmir needs a rehab restart ... Harrison, just when you trust him – BAM ... Young losing Abs to Parra ... Snider, an AL ROY fave, down to minors, where we still wait on Matt Wieters.

Video notes for the Pitching Planner

-- Peavy deal, if he accepts a trade, it helps or hurts ... Chicago is a hitter's park, while San Diego was a pitcher's park

-- Aaron Poreda and Clayton Richard... can they help the Padres and Fantasy owners?

-- What the heck is wrong with Scott Kazmir, Jon Lester, Josh Beckett and Francisco Liriano. These guys can't be garbage, can they?

-- Where the heck is Brandon Webb? Is someone like Jason Schmidt really going to beat him back to the majors?

A lot of these guys are circumstantial movers... due to new closer roles or two-start pitchers for next week. Some guys in the next 10 on the move are: Ben Zobrist, SS, TB; Mat Gamel, 3B, MIL; Gary Sheffield, OF, NYM; and Ian Stewart, 2B/3B/OF, COL.

Those are the real guys to target in deeper leagues right now.

Talk about Weeks’ injury... We might lead with this ... what do the Brewers and Fantasy owners do? ... also... What do the Mets do minus Carlos Delgado ... see Sheffield above.

Also, talk about Armando Galarraga’s struggles... could he be removed for Jeremy Bonderman in a few weeks? He was off to a great start and has stunk of late (Galaragga that is).
