The Latest in 2011

well, i haven't blogged here 4 a while but i'm sure happy to be back! Yeah, so the Mets are in 4th place in the NL East and times are getting much much better for the Mets... Welcome back to the Mets for Fernando Martinez!!!!! OMG im so glad he is healthy and back! so Johan Santana will be back soon, and to keep winning is vital and highly important in order to even think about playoff contention. Welcome aboard Terry Collins/ Sandy Alderson in your first seasons with the Mets! :)please bring the winning tradition back to citi field...

I hate it thinking about how crazy fans are getting, Lets face it: the Mets are not The Yankees nor will they ever be. So why do people always get their hopes and expectations up let them play and if they win great if they dont well dont start freaking out! It takes a while to rebuild a championship caliber team...

YellCry Please Mets fans take this suggestion: be happy with what youre getting cuz youre not going to see much better.

Yesterday's win was so sweet!

Mets win 8-2 over Washington!!!! On a night Jerry Manuel asked for more power he got it. Jeff Francoeur and Rod Barajas led the charge, and topped off by 3 spectacular plays by Alex Cora, and one by David Wright. Mike Pelfrey pitched 6 solid innings giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits, striking out 4 batters. his most amazing pitching fact was he threw 13 1st pitch strikes to 19 batters and for a guy who struggled with consistency and control last season, this was an encouraging sign. Rookie 20 year old shortstop Ruben Tejada got his first big league hit and it was a special moment for the youngster, and for fans like myself, as i can recognize his potential and can see Tejada has a bright future in the majors and at 2nd base when the time comes.

Lets go Mets! Jose Reyes returns today and I will be back with the latest and greatest Mets news, highlights and scores.

It's very hard work being a Mets fan....

Its like having 3 jobs at once!

well, that never happened but I am a die hard Mets fan putting up with ridiculous signings and seasons for too long... THANKS OMAR FOR AWFUL OLLIE. THANKS FOR PLENTY OF CATCHERS WHO COULDNT BACK IT UP WITH THE BAT. YET, LETS SIGN ALL THESE CATCHERS INSTEAD OF WAHT IS NEEDED... HMM.. LETS THINK, A STARTING PITCHER?!?!?

MAYBE Jason Bay WILL HELP THE LINEUP AND OFFENSE BUT REALLY OMAR, WHO WOULDVE NOT THOUGHT TO PERSUE A STARTER.

NOW REYES AND BELTRAN TO MISS 1ST MONTH OF SEASON AND THE 5TH SPOT IN ROTATION IS UP IN THE AIR. WHAT ABOUT AFTER JOHAN'S TURN IN THE ROTATION? MAINE BETTER STEP IT UP AND SAME FOR PELFREY

2010 NY Mets Season Preview

THE OFFSEASON BROUGHT Jason Bay, Hisanori Takahashi, JERRY MEJIA, Henry Blanco, Chris Coste AND PLENTY OF CATCHERS TO NEW YORK. WHAT WAS REALLY NEEDED WAS A 5TH STARTER. YET THE Mets FAILED TO GET ONE, AND THERE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ROTATION AFTER JOHAN. THE 5TH SPOT IS AVAILABLE, AND WITHOUT Carlos Beltran AND JOSE REYES UNTIL MAY, IT IS ONLY REASONABLE THAT THE 1ST MONTH WILL BE A DIFFICULT ONE. HOPEFULLY JASON BAY CAN HELP THE OFFENSE, AND David Wright WILL REDISCOVER HIS SWING. MY PREDICTION? A 3RD PLACE FINISH IN THE NL EAST, YET A MUCH BETTER SEASON.
