But for the love of god, is there a more over-exposed person on the planet now than former porn star Joslyn James?
A week after posting a series of salacious and X-rated text messages she claims were sent to her from former beau Tiger Woods, she's making the rounds on talk shows around the world, creating even more headlines in a scandal that has become the news equivalent of a cockroach.
Stomp on it all you want, but it still won't die.
James, who says she had a three-year relationship with Woods, fell in love with him, was twice impregnated and believed she was the only mistress he was seeing outside his marriage, was back at it this week.
She told KFNS in St. Louis: “He lied to me, he broke my heart, he put a lot of people’s health at risk. There’s many, many things that he did. Not just to me, but to many people. If he’s really seeking treatment and wanting to move forward with his life and become so-called recovered, he needs to make amends with each individual that he hurt.”
James requested and failed to receive a personal apology from Woods at his infamous, scripted Ponte Vedra Beach address. Based on appearances, she's been getting even ever since.
“The reason I published the text messages when I did was because I thought it was time for the public to know the truth because there was lots of speculation as to the truth behind it, and people were getting information from not very reputable sources and I thought it was time for me to come forward and set the record straight,” she said.Of course, whether you consider a porn actress to be a reputable source is up to you. Whatever, she wasn't blown away by the tone and content of his short interviews with ESPN and Golf Channel on Sunday.
“What I feel about that is it’s a lot of the same hocus pocus," she said."He’s just wearing his comfortable gear, the golf clothes and the softer face instead of the mean, muggy one he showed on the night of original so-called apology."
She reaffirmed an earlier statement that people in the Woods camp were aware of his dalliances, which Woods strongly denied in a Sunday interview. Caddie Steve Williams this week strongly disputed James' assertion that he knew Woods was fooling around, too.
“I’m just going to say that there were people in his inner circle who were aware of what was going on and I’m just going to leave it at that,” she said.At least two books are in the works on the Woods scandal, so this topic isn't about to go away soon, whether Woods deflects questions or not.
