Another Sunday of putting numbers next to teams

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- I'm sitting here at the Old Spice Classic, watching hoops and starting the task of updating the Top 25 (and one). I can already tell it won't be simple. Here's a list of teams in last week's Top 25 (and one) that have lost this week:
  • No. 2 Michigan State
  • No. 5 Kansas State
  • No. 6 Villanova
  • No. 12 Kentucky
  • No. 13 Temple (twice)
  • No. 17 Washington (twice)
  • No. 23 Purdue
  • No. 25 Georgia (twice)
Meantime, No. 19 Florida is a 3-point underdog at Florida State tonight. So I've got a lot of rearranging to do, and I could have even more if the Seminoles handle the Gators. Either way, I'll figure it out. Look for the updated rankings after UNLV-Virginia Tech goes final tonight. That game doesn't tip until 9 p.m. ET.
