Notable game from Tuesday: Purdue snapped its three-game losing streak with an 84-78 win at Illinois. John Hart -- who wasn't even on the official roster -- had 14 points for the Boilermakers. They improved to 15-3 overall, 3-3 in the Big Ten. Illinois is 12-7 overall, 4-2 in the Big Ten.

Notable performance from Tuesday: Evan Turner finished with 20 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists in No. 21 Ohio State's 76-56 win over Northwestern. The junior guard was 7-of-11 from the field, 2-of-3 from 3-point range. He's now averaging 18.6 points, 9.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.

Notable game scheduled for Wednesday: Pittsburgh will try to notch another big victory when the No. 9 Panthers host No. 12 Georgetown. Pitt is 15-2 overall, 5-0 in the Big East. Georgetown is 13-3 overall, 4-2 in the Big East. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Notable game from Monday: Kansas State jumped to a double-digit halftime lead, fell behind but then rallied to deal Texas its first loss. Final score: No. 9 Kansas State 71, No. 1 Texas 62. Curtis Kelly had 17 points and eight rebounds, and Jamar Samuels had 20 points for Kansas State, which is now 16-2 overall, 3-1 in the Big 12. Texas is 17-1 overall, 3-1 in the Big 12. The Longhorns' loss leaves Kentucky as the nation's lone undefeated team.

Notable performance from Monday: Wesley Johnson continued his quest to be a First Team All-American with 22 points and eight rebounds in No. 5 Syracuse's 84-71 win at Notre Dame. The transfer from Iowa State was 8-of-15 from the field, 2-of-4 from 3-point range and 4-of-6 from the free throw line. He's had double-digit points in all but one game this season.

Notable game scheduled for Tuesday: The two ACC teams that last week beat North Carolina -- i.e., No. 17 Clemson and No. 19 Georgia Tech -- are meeting in Atlanta. Clemson is 15-3 overall, 3-1 in the ACC and led by Trevor Booker (15.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game). Notable game from Sunday: Trailing with less than 14 minutes left, Duke closed on a 35-14 run to beat Wake Forest 90-70 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith and Miles Plumlee combined for 60 points. The win pushed the Blue Devils to 15-2 overall, 3-1 in the ACC. Wake Forest is 12-4 overall, 2-2 in the ACC.

Notable performance from Sunday: Scottie Reynolds took 15 shots, made eight and finished with 27 points in Villanova's 82-77 win over Georgetown. The senior guard was 4-of-7 from 3-point range, 7-of-8 from the free throw line. He also had three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Notable game scheduled for Monday: Texas' undefeated record and No. 1 ranking will be at risk when the Longhorns play at Kansas State. Here's Friday's What You Need To Know:

Notable game from Thursday: Tennessee struggled in the first half but outscored Auburn by 25 points in the second to record an 81-55 win over the Tigers at Thompson-Boling Arena. It was the Vols first game since upsetting top-ranked Kansas last Sunday. Wayne Chism had 12 points, 12 rebounds and six steals. The No. 9 Vols improved to 13-2 overall, 1-0 in the SEC.

Notable performance from Thursday: Elias Harris took 20 shots, made 13 and finished with a career-high 31 points in No. 17 Gonzaga's 89-82 win at Saint Mary's. The freshman forward from Germany added 13 rebounds and three steals. He's now averaging 15.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. "Think my roomie elias harris had 15 points of dunks tonight," Gonzaga's Matt Bouldin Tweeted after the game. Of course, it's impossible to get "15 points of dunks" because dunks are worth two points and 15 is an odd number. But whatever. You get the point. Harris was awesome.

Notable game scheduled for the weekend: No. 5 Syracuse and No. 10 West Virginia will meet in a matchup of Big East powers Saturday. The Orange are 16-1 overall, 3-1 in the Big East. The Mountaineers are 13-2 overall, 4-1 in the Big East. Tip-off is set for noon ET.

Notable game from Wednesday: Pittsburgh continued its surprising season with a 67-57 win at Connecticut that pushed the 16th-ranked Panthers to 14-2 overall, 4-0 in the Big East. Jamie Dixon's team now has consecutive wins at No. 5 Syracuse, at Cincinnati and at No. 15 UConn. Next up is Louisville.

Notable performance from Wednesday: Trevor Booker finished with 21 points and nine rebounds to lead No. 24 Clemson to an 83-64 win over No. 12 North Carolina. The senior forward was 8-of-12 from the field, 5-of-7 from the free throw line. He completly dominated the future pro bigs on UNC's roster, specifically Ed Davis (four points and four rebounds) and Deon Thompson (four points and five rebounds).

Notable game scheduled for Thursday: The best two teams in the West Coast Conference will meet when Gonzaga visits Saint Mary's. The Zags are 12-3 and ranked 17th nationally. Saint Mary's is 15-2 with wins over San Diego State, California and Oregon. Tip-off is set for 11 p.m. ET.

Notable game from Tuesday: Eric Bledsoe and John Wall combined for 44 points and Kentucky improved to 17-0 with an 89-77 victory at Florida. UK closed on a 17-5 run to pull away while snapping a five-game losing streak at the O'Connell Center.

Notable performance from Tuesday: Evan Turner scored a career-high 32 points to help Ohio State overcome a 12-point halftime deficit and beat No. 6 Purdue, 70-66. Turner was 11-of-21 from the field, 9-of-10 from the free throw line. He also got nine rebounds and three assists, all of which launched the junior guard back into the Player of the Year race.

Notable game scheduled for Wednesday: Pittsburgh will try for its third straight road victory when the Panthers visit Connecticut. Notable game from Monday: Willie Warren scored 15 points to help Oklahoma to a 62-57 overtime win over Oklahoma State. It was OU's second win in five games, and it came just two days after a 91-60 loss to Baylor. The Sooners are now 10-6. OSU is 13-3.

Notable performance from Monday: Scottie Reynolds finished with a season-high 36 points to lead No. 4 Villanova to a 92-84 win at Louisville. The senior guard was 9-of-10 from the field, 5-of-5 from 3-point range. "He brought us to another level," teammate Taylor King told reporters afterward. "He did an unbelievable job. That's why he's our leader."

Notable game scheduled for Tuesday: Kentucky gets its first league road test when John Calipari's team visits Florida. The No. 2 Wildcats are 16-0 and off to their best start since 1965-66. Florida is 11-4 and coming off a loss at Vanderbilt. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET.

Cornell nearly upset Kansas.

Here's Thursday's What You Need To Know:

Notable game from Wednesday: Sherron Collins took over late and finished with a career-high 33 points to help Kansas come from behind and record a 71-66 victory over Cornell. The Jayhawks trailed at the half, nearly the entire second half, and even in the final minute. But six straight KU points by Collins pushed the Jayhawks ahead for good, although they still needed Cornell to miss a 3-pointer in the final seconds to avoid overtime. With the win, No. 1 Kansas improved to 14-0. Cornell is now 12-3 with losses to Seton Hall, Syracuse and Kansas, and with wins over Alabama, UMass and St. John's.

Notable performance from Wednesday: Ekpe Udoh, one of the nation's true breakthrough players, got 18 points, 17 rebounds and 10 blocks in Baylor's 79-63 win over Morgan State. It was the fifth triple-double in Baylor history, the 11th in Big 12 history. Baylor is now 12-1 (only loss came by three to Alabama). The Bears have won 19 of their past 22 games dating to last season.

Notable game scheduled for Thursday: Two of the best from the Sun Belt will meet when Western Kentucky visits South Alabama. WKU is 8-4 overall and 1-0 in the Sun Belt with wins over Vanderbilt and Mississippi State. South Alabama is 11-4 overall and 3-0 in the Sun Belt with wins over Florida and Arkansas. Tip-off is set for 6:05 p.m. ET.
