The clip of the Willie Warren dunk

I referenced Willie Warren's insane dunk over Xavier Henry in my column posted early Wednesday.

I also linked the dunk in the middle of the column, but it could get lost in there.

So if you missed it and want to see it, don't worry, I'm here to help.

Just click this link and enjoy.

Dear Gary (on all my new Oklahoma friends)

Here's Monday's Dear Gary ...

Dear Gary: You just got about a half-million new friends. That was a great article. Thanks.

-- Roger

A half-million?

Wow!

That note came after Saturday's column from Owen Field, where I was on assignment for the Oklahoma-Cincinnati football game. And no, this does not mean I'm changing jobs. It's just that during football season I spend most weekends at football games, basically going wherever our fine football columnist Dennis Dodd doesn't choose to go.

I was at Clemson-Alabama in Week 1.

I was at Cincinnati-Oklahoma in Week 2.

And the best thing about the latest trip was that I got to spend some time with Sooners basketball coach Jeff Capel while I was in Norman, which is why I'll have an Oklahoma basketball column coming later this week. Then I'll head to Notre Dame for Saturday's game against Michigan and in the process catch-up with Luke Harangody and the Irish basketball team. Then I'll head to Tennessee for the Sept. 20 game against Florida, at which time I plan to ask the Vols' new point guard, Bobby Maze, if he'll write a rap about me.

So keep a look out for those things.

And let's see if I can't secure five million new friends by Christmas.

I need them.

Because I've been getting tired of my old friends, anyway.

Dear Gary (on Blake Griffin's peeing habits)

Here's Tuesday's Dear Gary ...

Dear Gary: Did you hear about Blake Griffin getting in trouble?

-- T.J.

I got home late Monday, saw this note and immediately searched for the story. At that point, I had not heard about Blake Griffin getting in trouble. So I was a little surprised and curious.

Was it a DUI?

Or a bar fight?

Or some other typical charge?

Actually, no.

Turns out Griffin was ticketed for ... urininating on a bush!

Seriously, the guy took a piss outside and some cop slapped him with an "outraging public decency" charge, which is ridiculous on many levels. I mean, how on earth can it be illegal to whiz on a bush, particularly in Oklahoma? And what is it with this state anyway? First, Eddie Sutton is videotaped peeing outside of a middle school in Stillwater a few years ago, and now Griffin is ticketed for peeing on a bush in Norman. Apparently, the yearning to pee outside is overwhelming in Oklahoma, and this really doesn't bode well for me considering I'll be in Norman next week.

(Note to self: Pee inside at all costs.)

Anyway, mark this down as no big deal for Griffin.

Far as I'm concerned, when you gotta go you gotta go.

And it's just a shame the Oklahoma police don't understand this basic concept.
