Here's Monday's What You Need To Know:

Notable game from Sunday: Florida State improved to 10-2 -- and launched itself into the Top 25 (and one) -- with a 66-59 overtime victory at Georgia Tech. Ryan Reid scored a career-high 17 points, and Solomon Alabi had nine points and 12 rebounds. Meantime, Georgia Tech freshman Derrick Favors (eight points) was held to single digits for the first time in his college career. The Yellow Jackets fell to 8-2.

Notable performance from Sunday: Ekpe Udoh reached career highs in points (22), rebounds (16) and blocks (nine) in Baylor's 94-63 win over UT-Arlington. The transfer from Michigan was just one block shy of Baylor's fifth triple-double in history. Scott Drew tried to let him get it, but Udoh fouled out with 2:04 remaining.

Notable game scheduled for Monday: Derrick Caracter will go for his third consecutive double-double when UTEP plays Oklahoma here in Oklahoma City. The former Louisville Cardinal got 15 points and 15 rebounds in a loss to Ole Miss last week, then finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday's win over Alcorn State. He's now averaging 12.7 points and 9.0 rebounds for UTEP, which is 6-2. Oklahoma is 6-3. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. ET.

Notable game from Thursday: Solomon Alabi scored 20 second-half points, 22 total, to lead Florida State to a 76-72 win over Auburn. The victory moved the Seminoles to 9-2 (only losses to Florida and Ohio State). Auburn is now 5-5.

Notable performance from Thursday: Denzel Bowles took 25 shots, made 17 and finished with 37 points in James Madison's 78-57 win over Gardner-Webb. Bowles also had 15 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. It was just his second game this season.

Notable game scheduled for the weekend: The first basketball game ever at Cowboys Stadium will be played Saturday when No. 2 Texas meets. No. 10 North Carolina in Arlington. Texas is 9-0, but still without a win over a notable opponent. UNC is 8-2 with wins over Ohio State and Michigan State, and losses to Kentucky and Syracuse. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. ET.

Notable game from Thursday: Elijah Millsap got 22 points and 15 rebounds and led UAB to a 64-47 win over No. 25 Cincinnati at Bartow Arena. It was Cincinnati's second straight loss after the Bearcats began the season 6-1. It moved UAB to 9-1 and suggested the Blazers could be a factor in a seemingly wide-open Conference USA.

Notable performance from Wednesday: Former Louisville Cardinal Derrick Caracter took seven shots, made four and finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds in UTEP's 91-81 overtime loss to No. 20 Ole Miss. The effort came in Caracter's second game with the Miners, just his second game since playing five minutes in Louisville's loss to North Carolina in the Elite Eight of the 2008 NCAA tournament.

Notable game scheduled for Thursday: There are no ranked teams in action, but UNLV, a previously ranked team, will host Weber State at the Thomas & Mack Center. UNLV is 8-1 (only loss to Kansas State). Weber State is 5-4. Tip-off is set for 10 p.m. ET.

Here's Wednesday's What You Need To Know:

Notable game from Tuesday: Tennessee led by only a point at halftime, but suffocated Wyoming late and cruised to a 77-58 victory at Thompson-Boling Arena. The No. 9 Vols held Wyoming to just 19 points over the final 23 minutes. They improved to 8-1. Wyoming is now 5-5. Sophomore Scotty Hopson led UT with 14 points.
 
Notable performance from Tuesday: Jon Scheyer hit 11 of 13 field goal attempts, including seven of nine from 3-point range, and finished with 36 points in 30 minutes to lead No. 7 Duke to a 113-68 win over Gardner-Webb. The senior set career highs in points (36), field goals (11), 3-pointers (seven) and assists (nine). Scheyer also had eight rebounds, meaning he was one assist and two rebounds from a triple-double.

Notable game scheduled for Wednesday: The 20th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels will try to extend their winning streak to five when they meet UTEP at the Desoto Civic Center in Southaven, Miss., just south of Memphis. Ole Miss is 8-1 (only loss to Villanova). UTEP is 5-1 and coming off a loss to New Mexico State. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET.

Here's Tuesday's What You Need To Know:

Notable game from Monday: Gani Lawal took eight shots, made eight shots and finished with 29 points and seven rebounds in Georgia Tech's 95-64 win at Chattanooga. The 6-foot-9 forward has now scored at least 13 points in seven of the Yellow Jackets' eight games. Georgia Tech improved to 7-1.

Notable performance from Monday: Tasmin Mitchell got 24 points and 18 rebounds in LSU's 77-60 win over Southeastern Louisiana. The senior had seven offensive rebounds. Southeastern Louisiana only had eight as a team.

Notable game scheduled for Tuesday: UNLV will try to recover from its first defeat when Lon Kruger's team plays at Southern Utah. The Rebels are coming off Saturday's 95-80 loss to Kansas State. They are 7-1. Southern Utah is 3-7. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET.

Notable game from Sunday: Xavier has now defeated Cincinnati 10 times in the past 14 meetings thanks to an 83-79 double-overtime thriller at Cintas Center. It was a classic Crosstown Shootout, complete with technical fouls and a near fight. Terrell Holloway led Xavier with 26 points while Jason Love added 19 rebounds. Lance Stephenson had 22 points for the Bearcats, who dropped to 6-2. Both losses have come in overtime. Xavier improved to 6-3.

Notable performance from Sunday: Juan Fernandez took 15 shots, made 11 and finished with 33 points in Temple's 75-65 victory over Villanova. Fernandez, a sophomore from Argentina, made seven of nine 3-point attempts. He's now shooting 43.6 percent from beyond the arc for the Owls, who are 8-2 (only losses to Georgetown and St. John's). Villanova is 9-1.

Notable game scheduled for Monday: Georgia Tech will play its first true road game when it visits Chattanooga's McKenzie Arena. The Yellow Jackets are 6-1 (only loss to Dayton) and led by Gani Lawal, who is averaging 14.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Chattanooga is 5-4. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Notable game from Wednesday: John Wall scored 12 of Kentucky's final 15 points and led the Wildcats to a 64-61 victory over Connecticut in the nightcap of the SEC/Big East Invitational here at Madison Square Garden. Wall finished with 25 points and six steals while pushing UK to 9-0. UConn dropped to 6-2.

Notable performance from Wednesday: Jeremy Lin took 10 shots, made seven and finished with 25 points in Harvard's 74-67 win at Boston College. Lin added four assists and three rebounds. He was 10-of-12 from the free throw line.

Notable game scheduled for Thursday: Two of nation's highest-ranked surprises -- Florida and Syracuse -- meet in the SEC/Big East Invitational in Tampa. Florida is 8-0 (wins over Michigan State and Florida State) and ranked 10th in the nation. Syracuse is 8-0 (wins over North Carolina and California) and ranked No. 7 in the nation. Notable game from Tuesday: Illinois ensured Vanderbilt won't enter next week's AP poll by beating the Commodores by a 79-68 margin. Demetri McCamey had 23 points and five assists. The Illini improved to 7-2. Vandy dropped to 6-2 (other loss to Cincinnati).

Notable performance from Tuesday: Greg Monroe took 20 shots, made nine and finished with 24 points and 15 rebounds in 15th-ranked Georgetown's 72-65 win over No. 22 Butler. Both the 24 points and 15 rebounds were career highs for Monroe. This was his third double-double of the season.
