Baseball and steroids

Baseball, as it has become the last 10 years, is a joke.  Guys like Clemmens, Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, et.al., have cheated those clean ones that came before them, and covered their historic achievements with a dirty cloud. Think back to the days of Brooks Robinson, Bob Gibson, Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Roberto Clemente, think of how good those guys were and how great a sport baseball was then, and it was clean.  Maybe some cuss words through a chew of tobacco, or maybe a brawl every now and then, but it was great.  Now, baseball turns my stomach.
There are only two possible solutions:  1st - lift all bans on any substance, making it "anything goes", league of freaks, and see who can be the first to hit 100 home runs in a season. Or, 2nd -  enlist the best "steroid/HGH detection scientists" to police the league.  Players and owners must agree to have mandatory, public testing of all the players, make a clean break with the recent past, and move on from there. I prefer the 2nd suggestion.
Along with both of those suggestions.... they should lower ticket prices to games, and concession prices, and quit paying those guys so much money. Where do they think all the money that lines the pockets of owners and players comes from?  The fans of course,,, who are disgusted,,, at least I am.  Figure out a way to get those guys closer to playing because they really love the game as much as the fans.
