March 5 Bracketology: Thanks OSU, VT, NM: FINALLY

First I'd like to say that finally we are seeing statements by bubble teams. Mississippi, Virginia Tech, and New Mexico all made huge statements but only New Mexico has benefited in my bracket. Why? The Lobos moved up one seed for beating BYU...., and Mississippi and Virginia Tech were just too far out to get in. I still need to see a 10th ACC win for the Hokies (meaning a win over Clemson) before I place them in my field. Yet I haven't even mentioned the team that made the biggest statement. Ohio State! The Buckeyes finally got a huge win but they are still 1-9 versus the RPI Top 50. Other than the Purdue win their only relevant win was against Florida, one of the last teams in my bracket. The bubble is shrunk a lot in my mind tonight in my opinion. I feel like the teams that made statements tonight are all in the picture but a lot of other teams (hello Wake Forest) are falling off just as quickly as they are moving on. Arkansas and UNLV are falling quick after those losses tonight.
