In Mourning

I'm speechless and in mourning...it really did come down to a couple of free-throws!

Memphis Vs. Kansas

Like I said before the tournament even started it's Memphis verses Kansas for the National Championship. Look for the Tigers to make another big statement Monday night. This truly is a dream team! GO TIGERS!

So Much For Tennessee

I was secretly wishing for a Tennessee - Memphis match-up for the championship, but now that Tennessee is out, I guess I can now hope for a Memphis - Kansas match-up. I need to pick up more Rotel so I can keep it flowing all weekend. It is about to really get good. My big concern now is the court they are playing on in Texas. It is 3 feet higher than the surrounding area so that the teams will be eye level to the floor as they sit on the side. What happens when someone goes after an out-of bounds ball? Are they gonna fall 3 feet and break an arm or leg? I read it is an "experiment" to see if it is feasible to play games in football stadiums so they can pack in more people. It's looks to me that the NCAA would have experimented at some other time and not during thee tournament for goodness sakes! It's all about money, selling more seats makes more money. Who cares if it risks injuring players or costing a team a chance at a title because they all fell off the court. As long as they are making money, they don't care.

N I T (Not In Tournament)

The NIT has been fairly bland to me this year.  I am dying for the next round to start tomorrow in the big dance! This weekend, the final 4 will be determined! North Carolina, Kansas, Memphis, UCLA.

So Much For My Bracket

Well with the loss of Duke in the sweet 16 my bracket is now officially just ruined. I was doing great...until Sunday!
Maybe, just maybe, Kansas and Memphis will both do well this weekend and salvage what little remains of my bracket.

Kansas Looked Great

Kansas held a basketball school today for the Vikings. They did a great job of teaching those guys how to play bball. I hope they learn from this experience and are better next year. Kansas looks like they want to go seriously deep into the bracket.
