Since Christmas Day the Celtics have been going down. The Celtics are 2-6 in there last 8 games including there loss to the Lakers on Christmas Day. The Celtics started the season with such promise, starting 27-2, the best start in the History on the NBA. They still sit at 29-8 which isn't bad in any stretch of the imagination, but they haven't been closing the games out in the end. The hope of beating the Bulls 96 regular season win records is all but done, but this is still a championship team in my mind. There now second in the East behind the Cavs, but are only 1/2 game behind being a game up in the win colum, and 2 behind in the loss colum. The Celtics need to end this current 3 game losing streak and go into Cleveland tomorrow night and pick up a win.
The last three losses have been tough for the Celtics. The lost in MSG on Sunday to the Knicks 100-88. They then turned around and losted a tough game to the Bobcats in OT in Charlotte 114-106. The night after they traveled back to Boston to play the Rockets in Boston. They lost 89-85 in a hard fought game, where they lead in thr 4th Qtr. There drained right now, today was a very needed day off. They should be fired up and ready to take on the Cavs Friday night. The Celtics should be able to bounce back with the next 5 games vs only 3 teams, with back to back games vs the Raptors and Nets next week. This should help Boston, not as much traveling. I'm thinking the Celtics will settle down and get back into winning games vs the Cavs and next week vs the Raptors and Nets.
